We still LOVE the way the GT500KR mufflers with the otherwise stock exhaust sounds on the GF's Shelby, especially with the TVS

+1

I keep toying with the idea of taking the stock cats off my car, but I can't find an O/R combo that sounds as good as the KRs with a catted H.

Sometimes I wonder if these "prototype" KR's I got (They have an frpp part #) are what everyone else is rocking. I get a lot of snapping at part throttle when I get into boost - sounds like an old truck with glass packs. They are very loud... I am pretty sure I'm putting my Bullitt mufflers back on for this year, run them until they fall apart like Brian's did. Maybe the OEM cats will save them.

The GF's car on the dyno (uncorrected numbers)

Can hear the crackling/popping from the exhaust, but it does it no justice vs how awesome it sounds in the car when driving it

Just for grins...

Dyno runs with B302, Kooks longtubes, high flow catted H, Edelbrock E-Force at 10 PSI, same camera.....

Borla Touring versus the KR mufflers.

Walked through the shop and looked over at it and considered unloading it off the trailer and putting street tires on it. Shrugged it off and walked out. It been on the trailer since the final auto x mid November. I need to this week so I can take in for the airbag recall.

Was up at Pete's shop in NH? I don't know the name of it but it looks familiar.

I knew I saw those lawn chairs somewhere. My buddy Tim has his Cobra tuned there, really nice shop from what I hear.

I might know that Tim, lol. It's a small world for sure ...

Pete's shop is small but the man knows his Cobras.
He's known as the Mustang guru around here, super-safe tunes that make good power.
I had his N/A tune on my car, he had a problem tuning me when I got the Whipple but he figured out the issue ... I'll be getting retuned by him once my new TB and BAP get installed
He tuned my GF's Shelby. Emailed us a tune after the TVS got installed, drove the car to him, one pull and he was done. 643/608 corrected #'s and the car runs like a raped ape

I've enjoyed the Borla touring, but they sound better outside the car than in it on my 5.4. Swapping to Corsa Sports next.

Besides the KR mufflers and the Bullitt H pipe, my favorites were my Kooks LT's w/ Catted X and Corsa Sports.

I liked that Borla touring killed the drone. My turbo setup is borderline loud, but doesn't drone either. I am a little worried about how my new dual 3 inch race setup will sound with the Spec R. Drone drives me nuts.

Drove it since the weather was nice. It's such a great feeling being able to not have to drive it every day and only when I want to.

I'll get some daytime pics soon, but I spent the evening adding a red pinstripe to my flat black stripes. The murdered out look is cool, but I needed some contrast on this junk.

I loved the Borla Touring mufflers on my v6 with the longtubes once they had some heat in them, Then cold they were very raspy sounding. Now I have a custom Vibrant setup made up that I really like.
