being this happen at idle, i think i would try loosening the cam caps, to see if the camshaft will lift from the cam journals. if it does, or you can force the camshaft to break free from the journals, squirt some oil into the journals. tighten down the caps, then see if you can rotate the engine...my guess is the oil pump failed, the camshafts have locked the engine up

I took the belt off and all of the pullies spun just fine. Spun them by hand, no drag at all.

When you say "cam caps" you mean the 3 strap things that hold the cam in place right?

5, yes, 2 bolts on each, try loosening them, see if the camshaft will move up away from the head

i had that problem years ago(i didnt prime the engine & the car was sitting for 2 months before i started it),,,same sound before the engine went out, there is not enough oil in the heads which made the came spin with no oil, now if i am not mistaken the heads are gone, with the cam caps. all the best, and i hope i am wrong

I know lots of people whos cars sit for the entire winter, and they start it every spring and never had this happen. You ever turned an engine over with no valve covers on, you get oil to the top pretty quick.

Do you know which ones? I've been using fram xtended guard the last 3 changes. I usually stay away from fram but I heard the XG is a good filter.

Yup that's the one. The only thing i've noticed quality wise is the rubber gasket pops off even on the new filter. I did my oil a few weeks back and the damn gasket popped off right out of the box lol.

Hell no...

I'm just scared to go any further not having money you know? I found a guy on a local forum, he's a Ford Tech, he said he'd give me a hand.
