im wanting to paint my stock fan blade wheels black what would be the best paint to use
rattlecan paint doesn't last too long on wheels, I did that and put several coats
of clear over the color. Couple years later, they had a million little rock chips.
Can you find an epoxy paint? 2 component mix is really tough stuff, approaching
powdercoat durability.
TIP: Take your time and sand the wheels down good to get the clearcoat off. Also use primer. Do the job right and it will come out really good.
I'd say the opposite, get a scuffpad (Scotch Red or Gray pad). Scuff the clear well so everything's dull, and there's no shine, but not totally through.
If you go all the way through the clearcoat then it would really need an epoxy prime.
