Short story
Went Saturday to replace clutch, throwing bearing, and flywheel.
Pulled everything to get ready on a buddy's lift ( exhaust, driveline, shifter, etc.)
Got down to transmission, deep creeped the bolts let them sit about an hour. Pass side bolt near the starter, ear broke off the block using a wrachet wrench. Whatever, probably had a crack moved onto the next (7/8) will be sufficient lets not do that again. Driver side bottom, backed out slowly with 1/2 turn out 1/4 turn in method. Tough but came out slowly. Went to bolt above it, same thing. Backing out the same way gets two thirds of the way out with moderate pressure damn thing breaks in the middle of the threads. So instead of continuing to break shit I reassembled everything and eased it back to house.
Which brings me to this question. Where do I go now? There is no reason for the bolts to be that tight. It has me at a loss for how to approach this.
