You are running the Blowfish shifter bracket, correct? If so, I'd love to hear your feedback from the MGW shift knob when you get it installed. I am running a basic black with the shift pattern Steeda shift knob (Barton shifter), and since I installed my BF bracket, I get a horroble buzzing/rattling noise from the shift knob. It didn't do it before I installed the BF bracket. I guess the increease in NVH over my regular ole barton two-post bracket has caused the rattling inside the knob. Now I need to find a replacement.

Barging in here. I also have the Gen2 MGW with the Blowfish Bracket. I have an Epco knob and retainer and no buzzing from there at all. Really no NVH difference from stock.

Good to know, thanks!

I had a steeda knob I had to get rid of due to buzzing with my Barton shifter, it was awful

Haha! Thanks for chiming in. Now at least I know I'm not the only one.

What did you switch to?

a Boss knob, which I ended up ruining taking it off, I now have a MGW knob, it's as quiet as a church mouse, the Boss knob was dead quiet too

ROFL!!!!!

This shift "knob" has the perfect grooves for a F I R M grip.

Will allow for better upward/downward motions in between "shifts"

God damn that was good Piggy.

Just got my MGW knob and lock collar last night. When I put it on there seems to be a large, somewhat unsightly, gap around the base of the locking collar and the plastic part at the top of the boot that was previously covered by the OEM knob. I seem to recall a rubber disk that sits around the shift handle on top of and fills that recess at the top the boot. Seems I've some how evidently lost it, either that or it's my imagination that there was anything there!

For now I've painted and installed a metal washer to fill the gap, but I'd rather have the original part. Anyone know what I'm referring to and where I could get another one? I don't see anything listed in the parts fiche at either Tasca or White bear.

I dont like the look of their composite knobs, I got this one from MGW when I ordered my Race Spec, the collar came with the shifter

My shift boot looks different to this one. There's a large, 1" or so diameter recessed plastic disk at the top. Is that an aftermarket shift boot?

I believe I still have the one that came with my race spec, I have no use for it, PM me your address and if I do still have it, I'll toss it in an envelope for you
