PLX DM-5. My tuner said it was off .1. I had read a rebuttal report of the AF gauges being off .1. Of course, I found out AFTER I purchased the gauge.

Autometer cobalt, and unfortunately it's massively inaccurate from my experience.

I have been reading what Greg Banish (Ford OEM calibrator) has to say on the topic, and it's changed my mind to the point where I don't think it's money well spent. Why? They are just not accurate enough to justify the cost.

There is an article that tested numerous widebands using a standard gas. I have read several critics of that test, including Greg, say that the methodology is flawed.

People generally buy affordable widebands to help keep their engine safe, but at the same time they would never use them to tune the engine. They default to a far more accurate (and expensive) gauge for tuning.

So that begs the question, if it's not accurate enough to tune with, how is it going to keep your engine safe afterward?

Basically, if you're not willing to pay A LOT for a serious wideband, just keep the money in your pocket. I spent $450 a gauge with +/- 1.0 accuracy. That's the difference between perfect and kaboom.

The sensor was brand new, it never seemed to read accurately. It responds like you would expect, but the readings are bogus. WOT application sends the AFR to 10.0 everytime.

It can't be calibrated.

Those glowshift gauges are pretty neat. Roper do you run glowshift gauges or did you just throw that up there. Do you know how reliable they are

I use their n2o gauge works fine. I'm ordering a boost gauge and fuel pressure gauge this week, I'll test them at work for their accuracy.
As for their a/f gauge I'm on the fence if I need it or not. But their tech support is claiming +/- .1 percent?

I'm running the w/b a/f, h2o temp, vac/boost, trans temp and fuel pressure. A mix of the Elite 7s & 10s - they changed models as I was aquiring them.

I'm guessing you aren't having any problems with them. If not I'm going to pull the trigger on these

How difficult are they to view in the day. I heard that the glowshift gauges can get hard to read sometimes.

No problems so far...

Depends on the color they are set at. I've driven around in the daylight/top down and not had a problem seeing them when they are set to a lighter color.
