Will 305's be ok?

I need to order some dr's for my 07 gt 500. Will a 305/40/18 fit ok on the stock rim? Or should i just stick with a 285?

no! a 285 is recommended for a 10 inch rim and a 9.5 minumum. Ive seen these get by but a 305 is recommended for an 11 inch rim and a 10 inch minimum. a tire made for an 11 inch rim on a 8.5 inch rim is just crazy IMO!

Man the failboat is running strong tonight. His stock rims are 9.5 inches wide. As in GT 500 rims.

From all I've read it'll work fine.

If I keep my GT500 wheels, I will be going with that exact tire this summer.

I've got 315's and zero issues. I ran 305's previously. You'll be fine.
