As the title says. They are 19x8.5. anyone have any experience with fitment with these wheels? I refuse to use any other wheel as I love these wheels!

According to the brochure I have, these will not fit with Brembo brakes.
With that, you can always try to use a spacer to see if it helps with clearance to the caliper. If it's a spoke interference issue, the spacer may help. If it's a barrel interference issue, a spacer most likely won't help.

Now, with a 8.5 inch wheel, your choices in tire fitment will be limited and this presents a compromise since you'll want more rubber on the road with larger brake setups to maximize the stopping potential.

It was just a thought. I think I figured it out. 1/2 wheel spacers will make em clear

RIP - You will be missed
For that much, you'll most likely need to get longer wheel studs. 1/2-20 studs should be getting at least 10 full turns of the lug nuts (one stud diameter's worth).

11-14 GT brakes? 13" rotors. All you would need are the rotors and caliper brackets.

Exactly what year and trim Mustang are you working with here?

Why do you want to change the brakes? What do you think they should be doing better? What size front rotors does your car already have?

I can tell you that even the little 12.4" brakes on early-year S197s can stand up to far harder driving than you'll ever do on the street or at a dragstrip. Just with different pads (not mass-market OE replacement pads) and a little supplemental brake cooling.

14 gt with std brakes. Coming from 100 mph stop is a little less than to be desired.

If sticking to the stock calipers your only real options are to try a more aggressive pad, different rotors, and braided brake lines.
Here are some options for your car at Zeckhausen Racing.

If any questions give Dave Zeckhausen a call, great guy and he will answer any questions you have about brakes. He's the US StopTech distributor and very knowledgeable about brakes.
I have Stoptech 4 piston calipers and braided lines, Frozen Rotors Cryo Slotted rotors, Ferodo Racing DS2500 pads. Run on track with no braking issues at all.

All you really need is entry-level track pads. Something like XP8 in Carbotech or R8 in G-loc. OE or standard Centric replacements for a '14 GT, which I think are 13.2", are adequate for any street duty. Braided brake lines - if you get those, which really aren't necessary in street driving, you'll want to get hoses with DOT approval (not all SS brake hoses are approved).

Another consideration is the tires you're using for these 100mph stops. Tires can make nearly as much of a difference as pads. Limiting yourself to 8.5" wheels will limit your available tire selection and the overall traction available for stopping.

As Norm asked, what are you doing with the GT and what are your goals?

Daily driven. No track use. Just spirited driving with friends.

Looks like u have 245-45-19"s...goodyears.

Even Hawk HPS-5.0 is an ample pad for street use...even from 100-0 (front + rears)

Swap to braided SS brake lines.... + use better grade of brake fluid, like Willwood 570 or Motul or ATE-200 etc.

When was the last time u looked at the brakes ?

Do the ABS brakes activate, when u stand on the brakes at 100 mph ?

I upgraded my 09 to the 11-14 base GT brakes, and have the Hawk HPS-5.0 pads, with 255 tires, and it stops fine from 100+.
