Long as you label both sides of each wire, you'll be fine. Just time consuming far as extending the wires, soldering/shrink wrap and all.

I've hacked together a lot of strange shit under a lot of strange circumstances, and I really wish I would have had these little beauties.

Yes, I'll be using a shitload of those for when I do a wire tuck over the winter.

You can get them on eBay. They average around $20 for 50.

Oh yeah, a simple hook splice with some heat shrink on top is much cheaper, but the way I see it, I'll be busy enough keeping track of everything. Also, evidently -- and I have nothing but other's experience to back this up -- these hold up better to a harsh environment.

Ulterior motive; wife can help out splicing without accidentally branding me with a soldering iron.

What would someone charge to do this. My engine bay is a mess it would be nice to be able to see the hydrodipped valve covers.

Very time consuming, would be cheaper to do it yourself.Plus according if you would want a full wire tuck or just a partial one. If you were in Ga, I wouldn't mind helping or showing you how to do it. A lot of bending over the car to do it right. also the prep work of taking things off the car takes time too.

I would suggest doing it yourself due to what one would charge to accomplish this. On mine i took about two maybe three full days over a week and a half and came out ok. I did a couple of solder joints but then decided to do the rest as stub splices(splice type we use on F15 jets). I would also recommend staggering your splices to keep the wire bundle the same diameter(common sense). Best of luck for those who do decide to tackle this job and nice job OP looking good.
