Won't crank and I'm stumped.

I got stranded in Chicago last weekend, car drove fine 100 miles to the city then wouldn't turn over. We push started it and it drove fine all the way home. I first suspected my 4 y/o battery so I left it on the charger overnight and my charger reported back "unable to charge." So I replaced the battery and still it won't crank. Then I checked all the fuses (behind passenger kick panel and in the main unit under the hood) and they looked intact. I don't know of a way to check the starter relay?

So, I decided to replace the starter after I could wiggle the posts where the wires attach to the starter. Reconnected the battery, and STILL it won't crank. Any ideas???

Do your lights and stuff come on or is it totaly dead?
And when you replaced te starter did you replace the solinoid also and check your ground to.your engine by the motor mount?

Try your spare key. The PATS might have gone bad.

If the PATS is bad wont the theft light flash when you try to crank?

In the BEC there is a 30 amp fuse and a start relay

Also might want to check the clutch switch.

I have all electronics, accessories, etc plus I installed a brand new fully charged battery.

I thought the fuel pump reset just cut fuel, and the car would still crank just not start. I can hear the pump priming when I turn the key.

I seemed to have lost my spare key somewhere, but the PATS (theft) light only flashes when the car is off, then it will illuminate when I turn the key briefly then shut off while I'm attempting to start.

I swapped the relay in the mega fuse box with another one that has the same part number, also visually checked the fuses in the box and under the kick panel.

I verified the ground was connected to the engine mount and tight.

check the clutch/neutral safety switch. If everything else is in place, i would most def check this.

Re install your tune. My car stalled once and wouldn't turn over, so I reflashed the ecu then it worked

Its either a switch that makes a connection
Or breaks a connection
Unplug it and see if it cranks if not then jump the wires together then try

Are you going to pull it out to test it? If not just put an ohm meter on it.
