Factory PCM strategy on the auto has that gas pedal so that even though you're floored, it doesn't deliver full torque until like 2nd gear or whatever some higher point in the acceleration.
Same with the F-150's that have the 6-spd auto.
Local tuner had an F150, threw a tune in it and could lay rubber for a 100 feet, something it wouldn't even think about doing when stock

Now this is absolutely true. I was so very disappointed to hear that. When I test drove the 2016 I like the ride and the handling was nice.....but it felt like a much bigger car. Similar to moving from a new edge to S197.

No. Sport mode refers to double-tapping the AdvanceTrac button whilst holding the brake pedal. It dials back traction and stability controls without turning them off.

Yep, that one. I don't think there is much of a difference in shifting speed in sport shift mode; but it does hold gears longer when you lift off before upshifting, which makes it more fun to drive like a jagoff.

It's just crazy to me that a powerful car with a super low first gear won't spin the tires from a stop. I really can't tell if it's just low on tq, or if the actual throttle body isn't doing what my right foot is telling it to do.

Either way, I fully plan on modding the car until it performs the way it should. Hopefully a tune and converter will make a HUGE difference.

My old manual car went 8.5's at in the 1/8th and 12.7 - 13 flat above 110 mph
new auto car went 9.3 in the 1/8th and 14.2 @ 103 in the 1/4 AKA weak-sauce
These numbers are from my G-tech pro, not track numbers btw

Only time I managed 14s (well, actually 16s) was basically when I spun so bad I cruised the last half of the track...

prove it. A 5.9B dollar loan in 2009 is a far cry different than a handout offered in 2008. I took a VA loan when I bought my first house. That sure as hell was no handout and it's paid back IN FULL with interest.

New camaros are pretty damn amazing. Did a twin turbo kit on one last month. No other mods but a setup of twins on the A8 camaro. Laid down 660rwhp/680rwtq. That transmission was amazing. Car was one of the best I've driven.

I think when you start throwing power adders on each, the gen 2 Coyote can handle more power. I.E. stronger internals

Regarding Ford, they didn't take "bailout" funds, they took an EPA loan for 5.9B at a ridiculously low interest rate.

How's that, I assume you were looking for proof ford took money too, they did. Just through a different mechanism.

Regarding the others, the way they were handled didn't require them to payback the cash. The govt bought shares in the companies and then sold them later to recoup some of the costs. Fiat bought Chryslers for ~50% cost, I think the GM shares were sold for a loss as well, I want to say roughly 16B total loss.

Realize that townhall is a conservative group that was probably opposed to the bailouts, but 10-16B is the number I've seen through multiple sources.

^^^ Thanks for the information. Your research concludes again no bail out was taken. They took a loan a year after bailouts were offered. It is a loan due 2022. It is not in default. The loan is in good standing. Further proof they no more took bailout money than I did when I opted for my VA loan in 1996 and paid it off IAW the loan contract. Thanks. That is some awesome data.

The LT1s are stout internal wise, just harder to fuel with direct injection. Plenty of 1000+rwhp stock LT1 cars out there now. Both are great.

I see. I haven't had much time to look into them very much. I do know there hasn't been a 6th gen Camaro run 10's N/A, stock long block. They can get there with some internals work however.

There's something wrong with you or your car. My 2011 would and my 2014 will spin the tires with no problems.

It feels normal after it finally gets going, it's just weak as hell off the line, we'll see what a converter and tune will do. I also race in 9000' DA, but I still don't remember the car being a tire fryer down in Phoenix where I bought it either so......
