Factory PCM strategy on the auto has that gas pedal so that even though you're floored, it doesn't deliver full torque until like 2nd gear or whatever some higher point in the acceleration.
Same with the F-150's that have the 6-spd auto.
Local tuner had an F150, threw a tune in it and could lay rubber for a 100 feet, something it wouldn't even think about doing when stock
