I am looking for a newer panhard bar. Read one with good and not dry rotted rubber bushings. I am modifying a Saleen Watts link and the link arms use the same rubber bushings. I am gonna try and press out the old bushings and replace them but it they dont come out willingly I will just shorten a panhard bar to length.
Not looking to pay a fortune as they will be experimented on. Can even be cut in half for easy shipping.

I have my stock panhard bar with about 6500 miles on it....

I'll take a look at the bushings when I get home to see if they meet your needs.

When they get old they crack.

If the bar is from the 2013 it will be fine....

If anyone cuts one in half, will you tell me what's inside? I'm guessing it's a silica of some sort to keep moisture out of them. But I've always been curious.

yes its hollow, but it seems there is the rain stick effect that is associated with the panhard bar. could be little beads, maybe silica

Honestly do not know how it happened. I came home from work and it was fine (or so I thought). Next morning, I'm leaving for work, and as soon as I pull out of the drive way, I notice the rear wobbled like crazy. I thought I was imagining it, but when I did a quick zig zag, it wobbled again.

Luckily I worked at a Ford dealer at the time that was less than 10 miles from the house. Nursed it in, and had it replaced under warranty. It was the day before I went to the spring Talladega race last year, and they had to get the part delivered overnight so I could take it on that trip. In the meantime, I tried out a plug-in Fusion, and was able to ride home and back to work in one charge, lol.

My guess was that I sometimes like to "power" (low 3rd, mid 2nd gear depending on time of night) the last corner (90 degree right hander) before I reach the house. It is a bit of a change in angle from a flat road to a short uphill. I'm thinking that may have caused it to snap, but I didn't notice any loud noises from it breaking, even when pulling into the driveway. I didn't have any crazy bitches mad at me, so the techs and I didn't assume any foul play especially the way the bar was severed. I doubt it was from all of the autocrosses either because I haven't heard of people with stock suspension snapping theirs. Even the techs were a bit puzzled on how it would snap from a regular drive home (they knew that I do the autocross stuff as well).
