Yeah that's the only thing I changed, I didn't even go into any other menus. Set it for 3600 and then uploaded the tune to the car.

That's not an option if you run cats.

OH REALLY? I'll give you the same advice Ben Franklin got from his elders when he was a young man..."Be careful how you word your comments - you often imply that you know something for SURE, when you're actually just repeating something you heard but don't REALLY understand."

FYI - I'm running two Magnaflow High Flow Metallic cats specifically intended for supercharged cars... unless I were to sit (like an idiot) with my launch control on for an EXTENDED period, there is NO PROBLEM using the WOTBOX with cats.

Okay so taping the plunger down seems impossible. I tried duct tape and it didn't hold worth a damn. It kind of held it halfway up but that didn't do anything, still only revved to 3600. Can we just disconnect the connector that runs into the plunger unit and get the same affect?

no,disconnecting it would be the same as the plunger sticking out, you need to jumper the 2 wires in that connector to touch.

That's easy enough, half the problem is trying to origami my ass into the floorboard area. Maybe I'll try zipties, I typically have good luck with those lol.

you can disconnect that plug pretty easy from the bottom side, then pull the plug out to you and do what you have to do, i soldered the 2 wires together.

Okay just tried it with the plunger all the way down and same results. Only revved to the set neutral rev limit. I'll be emailing American Muscle to try and see what the deal is.

What do you mean switch? I taped the plunger down as depicted on the second page of this thread.

Are you saying there is a switch in the area "behind" the plunger (like where the connector goes into the back of the housing)? Also there is another plunger farther down the clutch pedal (not shown in picture), does that one have to be depressed as well?

not sure,i just know there are 2 switches. and i soldered my bottom one together so the car would start if the clutch wasnt pressed,i thought this was the same switch you were dealing with.

The only thing I can think of is that they didn't program the neutral rev limit to deactivate once the car hit .5 mph. I just emailed AM letting them know what my issue is.

How does your wotbox work if your plunger is always activated? o.0

i think we may be talking about 2 different things? 2 switches, i bypassed the bottom one so the remote start works,im guessing the WOTBOX uses the top one....cause when i did the test with the blue light on the WOTBOX it recognized the clutch....

Me either, I'll have to go take a look again. This is how you set it for those with an sct wondering what to do. It's pretty self explanatory, however it's helps sometimes to see it before trying. For the record, you don't need to go into the driving rev limit to adjust the two step. I was doing that to show american muscle what I was doing as they are trying to resolve my problem of the car not accelerating past the set rpm for the two step while in gear.

Did you know him? Franklin, I mean.

How do you know he got that advice? Are you just repeating something you heard and may or may not understand it.

These instructions are for an Audi but it's the same concept
http://www.himohimo.com/audi-b6-generation-a4-18t-n2mb-wot-box-installation-instructions.html

You're favorite part will probably be "many successful installs have been made on Catalytic-Converter equipped vehicles"

However, my favorite part of the document is "USE AT YOUR OWN RISK IF YOU HAVE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS!" Their CAPS, not mine.

I'll restate my original post.

Ahem...

It is not a SAFE option for those of us with Catalytic Converters.

Yeah, I knew Franklin, I'm that old LOL! Dude, nothing is perfectly safe, even a bath. As your post admits, it's not impossible, which was my point. Thanks!

Just get a 2-step and be done. SOOO much better!
Trust me I did the same thing. Messed with my tune, uploaded new ones yada yada.
I hate how SCT's 2 step is activated whenever the car is in neutral/clutch is in and it bounces +/- 500 RPMS real slow. Its no good for down shifting if ur gonna try doin a troll race or slightly missing a shift because then you are just releasing at whatever your 2 step may be set at and the whole car jerks back before catching back up to the RPM its suppose to be at.
Plus a 2-step is a simple twist of a screw and u set your RPM and dont have to load it.:thumb:
