this reminded me of what I believe is the largest car engine ever produced, the 1911 Fiat S76 "the beast of turin" has a 28.4 liter 4 cylinder, each cylinder is the size of a big block...
you can literally see chunks of metal come out... how cool is that...
One has to wonder if they've ever been run.
I remember the Darryl Starbird shows of the early '70s, engines would often just be shells. No pistons/rods/valve train.
Not my cup of tea either, but you still have to admire the level of craftsmanship involved.
