problem 1: ok i followed the tsb and let it soak in penetrating oil for longer than suggested and i still managed to break off 2 plugs so far. On one of the tips i got out there was a piece of the electrode shield broken off! It's the actual band at the bottom that has a piece missing. Im thinking it had to have already been that way because theres no way i could have caused that is it? Should i be concerned?

problem 2: The hex on two other plugs that you actually grip to remove them with, CAME OFF! Only the hex came up leaving the entire plug still in the head. :helpme:

also i heard about vacuuming the cylinder out but what can i use to vacuum it with?

The hex part that came off is the most common failure, actuallly, that is how they all fail. Did the porcelin come out (did you pull it out) leaving just the ground shield in the head? If so, you need to tap the ground shield ( 9X1.0 mm ) and use a tool to extract it.

Not good, to be honest I think the heads will be coming off and going to a machine shop to get them out. I have never heard of that happening. How hard did you crank on the ratchet to do that?
