If you recall, he first mentioned it when he was nicknamed The Hulk because he lashed out once. He calmly apologized later and explained his "situation."
Tom is a hero. He's seen and done things that you couldn't imagine. While you were behind the safety of your computer, Tom was dodging gun fire and helping his fellow soldier Stay Alive!!! He's had to experience things that will affect him for the rest of his life. He made a great sacrifice that he will deal with for the rest of his life.
