With the Summer months and Heat in full effect, How hot is too hot?

Sorry, not trying to push the issue of flow. Only said to look originally, but we got OT.

For lo pro, these are the best thing I have found. Low cfm rating, but work better than anything else. Cheap flat blade design, not even the good style, but really works well. Pulls more than other I have tried rated at over 3000 cfm. I see surface temps on the rad drop over 40 deg in about 3 sec.

This one doesn't cover the whole radiator, but works well on mine with 1k hp. If you had the room you could also get a cheap shroud made out of aluminum and it would work even better. Probably get one made for 40-60 bucks.

Then the derale will be your man. It really is stupid how much air it moves. Next upgrade for you, and alternator lol.

alternator has been good so far. one of the lucky ones to still be on the original, with no codes.

WEll see what happens after i change the resistor. $40 to hopefully cure the issue since I know the resistor has gone bad.

Well last night wasnt nearly as hot, so not a great test, but 80 degrees when I was driving with the adjusted fan speeds, and temps never hit above 182 on the gauge. Will try again this weekend, hopefully its hot outside, and my new resistor comes soon

Cool, I think with the better setup fans speeds and once you get the resistor fixed you will be in business.

Cant go wrong with a high cfm fan setup.

When mine is on high i can put my hand on the front grills and feel the air being sucked in its pretty substantial lol

Even in front of the lower grill through the 4.5" fmic i can feel the air rushing in.

Im sure it helps keep my fmic a little cooler while im sitting still and the fan is on high. But yeah if you have fans on your heat exchanger already im sure there isnt too much room for improvement. Do those fans run all the time or at a certain temp?

You think making some blocks on either side of the radiator between the heat exchanger and the radiator area would help cooling? Basically force all the air through the radiator, instead of losing some off to the sides? I know saleen makes a kit for the Saleen cars so maybe theres something to this. I do have quite a bit of space back there

Im sure it couldnt hurt. I have thought of this as well. Thats why I like the roush fascia the lower opening recesses in and basicly channels air right to my fmic. The 2010's actually have little rubber/plastic trim on the sides to force air towards the core.

i may look into doing something like that. I know ford OEM had small plastic pieces there which got removed with the larger radiator and junk. Maybe i can fabricate my own.

Yeah I mean im torn on it bc the bullit style grill only has openings in the honeycomb near the center/core like the stock grill to help force airflow towards the core. But a more open grill will let more air in overall to cover more surface area.

Yeah my CS bumper opening is perfect with the FMIC, funnels air right into it...

yea i still have the stock front grill, but with a overlay on it. I was thinknig about dremeling out some of the holes. My bottom grill is gone. I jsut have the overlay down there with a very unique mounting system. lets tons of fresh air over the heat exchanger.

Yeah i dremeled out the back of the honey comb, the fog light openings and pony out on the old grill I made to let more air in.
