I just read some new info and ordered 2v tensioners. Until tomorrow folks my big dumb mistake....

Ok so I got both left n right 2v tensioners.

Do these require a gasket of any sort? It didn't come with any gaskets for the back side. Should I put a thin layer of gadget maker around the flat back side?

I pulled the tensioner and here's what the gasket looks like now and the same as before. Would that corner cause it to malfunction?

Also anything requiring a gadget for the 2v tensioners?

I installed the 2v tensioners and pulled the pins, when i primed thoses suckers there was no oil seeping out of them, only the tip of thr plunger. Well I buttoned up everything back up last night around 10pm cracked open a tall can of modelo :beerdrink: said a short prayer and cranked it over! ...
And it B...WORKED! lol:evillaugh:
I was so happy I cleared the codes with "El Diablo" that I had before the tear down, and I can safely say my CEL is finally gone! The damn car feels snappier too, maybe it's just that I haven't driven it in a long time.
I need to change the oil and I'm thinking of swapping out my pro kits for vogtland springs but that's another thread.

I want to take this time and thank everyone that chimed in with direction and advice. I certainly couldn't have done it without all of your help!!:beer:
