The most effective way to get a straight launch is to utilize a drag oriented "Anti-Roll Bar" similar to this:

BMR Suspension S197 Mustang Xtreme Anti-Roll Bar

A quality set of LCA's and Relocation brackets, along with some sticky tires....will go a long way in conjunction with the Anti-Roll bar.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me or give me a call!

Good luck!

A good set of LCA's with relocation brackets.
A good UCA, and optional but can get a new stiffer UCA mount.
PH Bar, or Anti Roll bar.

Also, I felt a bit of improvement when switching my diff to a tru trac.

That sideways movement you experience is due to the rear end not being centered perfectly. Once some miles build up on your car, it almost never is.

As the other mentioned, an adjustable pan hard bar (adjusted correctly so that the pumpkin is centered) or a drag anti-roll bar will fix this for you. Which one your chose really depends on your purpose for the car I guess.

My car would not launch strait for nothing. So i installed BMR Xtreme anti roll bar and have not had any trouble since the install.

I don't yet have an anti-roll bar, and the car would sometimes want to pull to the left or right upon launch. By tweaking one of the adjustable shocks, it helps straighten it out.

Lots of things you'll ned to do when getting that kind of power :)

...che fixed-length lca's and relocation bracketd; steeda adjustable uca, adjustable panhard bar and brace, and sport springs; tokico dspec shocks. For tires at the track I use M/T slicks on 15" rims and M&H DR skinnies up front. Using stock gt rear sway bar, but front sway bar removed.

LCAs were for getting rid of wheel hop.

Sticky tires
Drag Springs
adjustable shocks
good Control arms
adjustable panhard bar
solid anti roll bar

Based on your signature, it looks like you're probably making similar power to our 2010 GT. (701rwhp) On our street suspension (not our drag setup) our car pulls a wheelie and runs 9.96 @ 138 on drag radials. I think I could pull a tire off the ground on the street too. It's ridiculous how well it hooks.

Of course, we carry all of these parts at www.uprproducts.com and we offer S197forum members a 10% discount on anything we manufacture.

RIP - You will be missed
Drag race antiroll bar, and perhaps experiment with temporarily disconnecting the front sta-bar.

Rear LCA relocating brackets, and I think the best overall setting is where you don't get either squat or separation when you get into the throttle.

Good rear shocks, ideally adjustable for compression (bump) as well as for rebound, and a PHB.

What is happening is that the rear axle steers very slightly under both rear squat/lift and chassis roll from the engine torque reaction, so what you want to be doing is holding those movements down to small amounts. Shocks slow these motions down and keep the axle from overshooting its steering (and help keep you from over-correcting or losing the battle just trying to keep up). A PHB with firmer bushings will eliminate most of the lateral axle motion coming from the OE PHB bushings compressing and then rebounding slightly (from however much rear squat/lift remains after you do the other things).
