Hi guys I'm wondering what is the most effective mods to get some grip , prevent "side spinning" and to have great straight launch for street/strip ?
Slicks.....tell what you already have maybe?
That sideways movement you experience is due to the rear end not being centered perfectly. Once some miles build up on your car, it almost never is.
As the other mentioned, an adjustable pan hard bar (adjusted correctly so that the pumpkin is centered) or a drag anti-roll bar will fix this for you. Which one your chose really depends on your purpose for the car I guess.

Good post.![]()
My car would not launch strait for nothing. So i installed BMR Xtreme anti roll bar and have not had any trouble since the install.
LCA's and a good tire will do wonders.
I don't yet have an anti-roll bar, and the car would sometimes want to pull to the left or right upon launch. By tweaking one of the adjustable shocks, it helps straighten it out.
Lots of things you'll ned to do when getting that kind of power![]()
I have BMR lca's, steeda adjustable uca, racecraft ARB, and slicks car launchs straight and goes down the track straight.

...che fixed-length lca's and relocation bracketd; steeda adjustable uca, adjustable panhard bar and brace, and sport springs; tokico dspec shocks. For tires at the track I use M/T slicks on 15" rims and M&H DR skinnies up front. Using stock gt rear sway bar, but front sway bar removed.
LCAs were for getting rid of wheel hop.

Sticky tires
Drag Springs
adjustable shocks
good Control arms
adjustable panhard bar
solid anti roll bar
Based on your signature, it looks like you're probably making similar power to our 2010 GT. (701rwhp) On our street suspension (not our drag setup) our car pulls a wheelie and runs 9.96 @ 138 on drag radials. I think I could pull a tire off the ground on the street too. It's ridiculous how well it hooks.
Of course, we carry all of these parts at www.uprproducts.com and we offer S197forum members a 10% discount on anything we manufacture.
