hi guys , finally I start my car , everything good so far but I notice a lot of smoke came out from dipstick , oil cap & oil catch can .

the "density" of the smoke is variable and when I off the engine the smoke disappear immediately , is it normal ? I don't know does the phaser lockouts make that kind of smoke ?

probably some oil residue that is left over from installing them that fell on side of engine or headers. If you just changed them? Sorry I can't watch the video to see for sure.

my headers are insulated "warp" and after blowing my engine I didn't change it so I think there are some oil left over

How long did you let it run? More then likely just assembly lube and condensation burning off. Can't view the video but I'm sure one of the more experienced will see this and answer you.

It seems excessive to me but I do not know the background of this motor? Was it just built?

Normally a small amount of smoke (like barely noticeable) is normal. What you have is a pretty solid amount. But if the motor has just been built, it takes some time for condensation and assembely lube to burn out. Also the rings take some to to seat/break in. So I personally would drive it some and see if it gradually reduces with some miles.

When reved up it doesn't splatter oil or pressure out of the breather right?

Have you driven it yet? If not you probably missed your chance to seat the rings properly.

no my tuner told me not to if there is any issue or something , and he asked for idle data log reading , on the other hand, the car is actually adding in fuel . so, I'm waiting the other file from the tuner so I can run it a couples of miles or at least to my house .

is there any problem if I just run the car on idle ?

The rings and cylinder need a load to break in properly. Too much idling and the honed surface will roll the peaks over instead of knocking them down.

Did you use conventional oil for break in?

That's some heavy oil. Is that what Livernois said to use?

no but "Ford" here recommended castrol oil 10w-30 and 15-40 not that much heavy according to what Ford been used and a lot of people here are using 15-40

Im not to sure on the mod motor break in oil....but I have always used straight 30w for the first 500 miles or so and then switch to oil of your choice.

And a load usually is needed to help seat the rings.
