Tuning is fine, fuel pump issues! Not even sure what it is yet. All I know is the car is on its way to get back together and I know how he feels! I will update my thread this week end.

Maybe you weren't around, I was one of the four people (including op) that stayed long enough to push the car onto my boy's trailer. Clearly you don't know me.

@Marc, maybe I missed your invitation. My car's going to be down for a bit for the 25.5 install, but we'll get together sometime this spring/summer... with better camera angles. :naughty1: I'll try to put something together to compete.


Slightly off-topic, can you not set the ford pcms to not pull fuel at rev limiter? The GM pcms let you select fuel,spark, or tps (or any combination of the above).

i don't know you, and really have nothing against you, but you constantly run your mouth on SVTP. and yea, youve got a helluva car, even if its a bailout bow tie. but you cannot deny that you come off as an asshole. maybe this isn't your intention but you do. i give you the benefit of the doubt because i come off this way to many too.

like I've said, i want a ride in your car for sure. oh, and you will need that aircraft carrier camera angle if you tangle with marc. id like to see it at the drag strip more than anything.

:chairfall: i grew up at a chevy dealership and used to bleed the bow tie. don't BS me. 429, 14:1 and 590whp na. thats insane dude.

There's no doubt your car is fast as hell and sounds pretty damn good. Maybe it was just a bad first impression, I dunno. Nice to hear you helped out Matt at the end of the night though.

Like anything else, once you get used to it it's boring. 3 months ago I said I wasn't putting the bottle back on the car. Now I"m trying to figure out how much motor and fuel system I have. :sigh1:

Sorry to hear this Matt, and I hope your car is on the road ready to run by the end of this spring. Hats off to Marc and TMS for agreeing to step up to help get the car back on the road. I will donate, its not much but its something.

I wish I could help too, but you can see where my money is going. Good luck getting it back together!

Its kind of funny when you hear everyone say, "you have to pay to play" , when you have to do it three times to there one isnt it! LOL

I wasn't saying that leaving the TC on was okay, but eventually with repeated abuse on the engine, wouldn't the ring gaps have eventually caused a problem? This is a question as I am trying to learn about FI engine builds...

I know were weren't saying that. Yes, eventually this would have had happened anyway. A ring ring end gap of .014 is perfectly fine for a NA engine like this short block was built for. But would never have lasted very long regardless of how it was tuned.

I would like that. If I lose, I will buy you a beer. If you win, you can buy me one. I was going to go to KK Friday night but I had race early Saturday so my car was on the trailer. Also, since my car is setup for roadracing and doesn't have DR or slicks, we should run two races. We should go from a dig and run them out a 1/4 mile. And then a 60 roll to 170. I know, roll racing is gay but it should be interesting.

I'm fairly certain we have met. Your car is a dark cherry/plum color, was running open exhaust, and you were about to ditch the IRS for a 9". This was last summer at turbotech.

It would be great to see you at a Friday afternoon Bremerton test and tune. Just look for the group of Mustangs. There is usually a Challanger or two and sometimes a couple of Corvettes mixed in. We are friendly, come on over.

MY sillymatic wont go to 170... it's done at 140 :dead2:

I've had mine up to 167mph(according to GPS, Speed Limiter deleted) in 5th and I'm not far off from stock, took me a hell of a lot longer than it takes Marc though that's for sure.

Roll racing isn't gay it's fun against bikes lol. They will RAPE me from a dig but from 70-140 I will pull the GSXR 600s and R6s and all those. Now a 1000cc may be a diff story but still fun!
