Edit: I'm wondering what the stoich was of the 101 octane fuel.

Did he have 101 octane or pump gas ?

Its safe to say the hole will be from a meltdown but Im still curious to know if the boost controller was messed with ? I know my boost controller failed once and instead of making 20psi, I made the 9.5 psi my waste gate spring was set to make.

Well to be quite honest I'm a noob when it comes to boost controllers. I put my eboost2 on a month or so ago. I got a new fuel pump at the same time so I got checked out on the dyno. At a SP value of 25(thats where I got tuned) I made 9.2psi max. Now at the track and the street with the qtp cutout open I've been spiking to 11 or so. Some peoples boost falls off up top, while mine wanted to keep raising. I'm not sure if I'm just running too small of a wastegate and it can't keep up with the air the engine is pushing out or what. Over boost shutdowns are always useful but I haven't seen mine work yet.

I hope you get it Ironed out Matt, but sounds like those limiters/cams my be an issue with there current configuration. Good luck man.

Zero reason to melt a piston if thats what happened. Thats all tune, barring a stuck shut injector. Hate to point fingers, but it is what it is.

Thanks for feeling my pain guys... she will be up in running before long. I still have some stuff in the garage I can sell to pay for the damage

I'm trying very hard to be civil. My emotions are still ramped so i have yet to discuss the causes of this with anyone.

Matt, like I said on the phone today, just take a couple days off of the car and get your mind straight.
