this is a really fucking awesome build. but unfortunate to see one more checkbook racer. I prefer to see the owner heavily involved in the build.

Sick, sick job guys! cant wait to see final results, numbers and track runs

Kinda, but not really. He does have the coin to go pretty far. But I would bet he's invloved more than probably more than any big build you've probably seen. Up until a few years ago he was a pretty big name in racing, so he can, and does quite a bit on his own which helped me a ton. He's just decided to stay a bit behind scenes. Ordered most of his own parts and drop shipped here. He just left last monday. He came in for a few days and wired up the entire after market side of his car. All 5 guages, set the highs and lows on them, ran all the wiring for the mega squirt, EGT, fuse box and multiple relays, fuel and water pump. Took out the radio, mounted and wired in the boost controller and solenoids. Thank god too, I hate wiring lol. This thing is going to hit the track and hard!

Yeah, Still got the engine SS killer

Big stout mother is the turbo mount.brace

I wanted to change some of the clearances in a drum pack, and this was the first machinists attempt. Found a new machinist. LOL

Not ready yet but threw it in there just to look. Make it feel like I was getting something done LOL

This is welded and done already but all I have. Should be some serious contrast with the gold in there with the black tube right above it.

Got the turbo in. Never had a chance to try one from Comp Turbo. But with their triple BB center section and low inertia turbine, I'm really looking forward to trying it out. This thing MUST weigh an good 15-18 lbs less than the mock up turbo with the aluminum backing plate and center section. This compressor should be good for at least 155lbs/min. We should be good in the power department :beerchug2:

So many nice features on the Comp turbo's. Got to love the weight savings and less heat soak of that billet aluminum center section. Thats a badass turbo right there! Looks to be a CT5X series, even their 60-70mm ct4/43 are 8-10 lbs lighter than the competition.

Yup yup. A CT5. Hoping the turbine will go as far as far as the compressor. Trying to keep the turbine small. EVO should help with that.

Not that small lol! I still need some leverage in the turbine. It's an 88/88. It's still a small engine so trying to stay out of the 90mm+ range, at least w no t-brake. I might be able to go smaller w this size engine but I've still got some tricks up my sleeve. I should be able to get it to spool like a 76 if the tires will hold it.

Threw the exh back in to do the cut outs. You can see the difference in color from where it was welded on the lower half of the down pipe compared to the top.
