Everyone is ok... a woman was using the center turn lane to bypass traffic and I pulled out in front of her because I couldn't see her (duh, why else would I pull out in front of her?). Anyway, It is still my fault somehow ???

Also, this is my first wreck I've ever been in and I've been driving for 10 years. So when I turn 36 that's when I'll have my next wreck...

Thanks man, and yes... I got F'ed.

The worst thing is that I'm the one that called the police and she didn't want me to. The first thing she said was that she was sorry and that she has good insurance. I should have just left it alone there.... Every time I'm honest with the police I get screwed!!!

talk about a package deal. i tried red lugs at first, but the mismatch in color looked hideous. those lugs must cost a pretty penny.

Fight like hell with your insurance company. Were there any witnesses and was she cited a ticket? That is *NOT* your fault seeing as how she was using the center lane to bypass traffic. I saw a lady doing that very thing one time, she hit someone else, and I knew where it was going. I took about 15 minutes out of my day to make this woman's life a living hell. The officer cited her, and she was deemed at fault just because I witnessed it. That woman called me everything but a white man that day. LMAO

 Well apparently here in Texas, there is no statute that limits the distance you can travel in the center turn lane. I received a ticket for "failure to yield right of way." It just all around sucks, plus, I think my car is totaled. When the accident happened, her horn stayed on and was blaring. I got out to see if she and her daughter were ok and escorted them to the side of the road. All of the while, my engine is still running and I forgot (due to the horn blaring). I remembered, and ran back out to shut it down, but it had already died. My sway bar punctured my oil filter and all of my oil drained out while the car was running. My engine is shot, my frame is bent and 1 airbag deployed.

I hope it is totaled though, because now I'll either get a 5.0 or (brace yourselves) a C6.

Damn dude that's horse shit. I'm sorry it happened to you. When I witness an accident like that I always try to stop. My mom is a claim rep for state farm and I always hear about some of the garbage people try. Hence the reason I stopped in my previous story.

What's crazy about the 5.0's though, is that I've found a few brand spankin' new 2011's for about 26k! Fully loaded too! So if I get a brand new one, my interest rate will be much better, and plus it's brand new! As far as C6's go, I will have to travel a long way to get one in good shape. There aren't really any local that I've found that are good enough deals (or they are yellow :puke:)

Look around Houston man, they are for sale everywhere

I live in Houston, and I also work at Late Model Racecraft, so I get to see all sorts of C6's on a daily basis. The thing is that I see how poorly some of these cars are treated and to find a good one is really hard to do. Plus the prices of these Corvettes are higher locally because they can be driven year round.
