I think 11.6 by the end of the day followed by reports of suicide over at denial5.com.

You mean a totally different two-seater lightweight arrow shaped sports car?

I don't think that is the intent, or ever was.

Then why not keep it at 550ish? Why bump it over 20hp more than the ZR1 and have a top speed of over 200mph. Those specs put it in the super car status.

Because they felt like it?
What does the horsepower number have to do with a ZR1?
As soon as you make a number it relates to the car of another manufacturer that's in a different class?
Didn't know that was a thing to do, explain that one...

camaro/muscle car
mustang/muscle car

With all that HP the goal should be to take down the ZR1.

It wont run with a ZR1. An extra 24 hp will not overcome the extra 500 or so lbs. I believe the bone stock ZR1 record is like 10.6x and 10.2x with drag radials.

I think it was Motortrend that had one run 11.3 with stock tires. With both cars running slicks and hard launches I hope that the GT500 will be more competitive in the 1/4 with it's live axil vs the ZR1's IRS.

My hope is for the Mustang to tear up anything that Government Motors puts on the road.

Here are some pics from last night at Chateau Élan after they ran at Road Atlanta. The red Roush is a 575 rwhp local guy who stopped in. The GT500"s all had the same rear tires, you can't tell much from the picture
