First, before I write this post I just want to say by no means am I trying to hijack your thread, just going to give my Bama vs Lund tuning experience for informational purposes. I am by no means a Bama hater, I had Bama tunes on my 07 and 08 and loved them both! I buy a lot of parts from AM as well. My 07 ran like a champ with their 93 Race tune. So the way I see things is if it ain't broke don't fix it, so I got a tune from Bama for my 2011. Once I put the tune in, the car felt slower than it did stock. I lost power down low, the car was inconsistent, the shifts were not firm at all, I felt like my car was granny shifting! My previous autos with Bama tunes would chirp the tires through the first 2 gears, this car, with more HP, somehow could not do that. It didn't drive smoothly at all and trying to go WOT anywhere from 40-80 was like pulling teeth! Given, in an auto, lag is expected so the car can downshift but it literally took 3-5 seconds after hitting the gas pedal for the car to respond. I asked for a revised tune and the car showed little improvement. The car would buck a lot as well, which is rather annoying. A friend of mine who has a 2012 (manual) was experiencing the exact same things I was with his Bama tune, so we both decided to go to Lund. I have had a Lund tune before and a few friends of mine have as well, and I always heard nothing but good things about them. So I got the tune from Lund within 24 hours of payment, and the difference is night and day! There is power everywhere with this tune, the shift are tighter, going WOT from 40-80 is almost instant and I actually feel like I am driving a tuned Mustang now. As far as the customer service issue, I can not speak on that, maybe they are taking on more business than they can handle so it is busy and kind of slow, regardless, there are two sides to every spectrum so I thought I would include mine. Again, sorry, wasn't trying to hijack your post, just pass along information.

I got my tuner in yesterday, I wanted to change one thing on the tune so I left a message on the Lund Racing website last night around midnight. By the time I woke up this morning I had the revised tune in my email. Hopefully I will get it dynoed next weekend.

Lund Racing does an excellent job.

With Ken running the helm, the efficiency has been excellent.

The only tune's I'll run,

The only tune's I'll sell!

Very happy I decided to work with Lund with my car now after a motor failure. Ken has been more than helpfull and very flexible on time. Also impressed with the safe tuning and working into it very carefully....as it should be done! The car is running great and hitting the dyno for a remote session next Tuesday. Track the following Friday. Hoping for some good numbers.

Oh I did. And that's good. He was good with me too at first.. But now it's been almost a month since I sent datalogs and still no response, if only to say they look good.. And I've had several people pm me about slow service with them. Like I said before, they make good safe tunes, but sometimes I think they take on too much and the service suffers some.

A month? You changed tuners, I didn't know you were expecting a response back. If you changed tuners, why are you expecting an answer back from me? Maybe I misunderstood.

And for the record, you paid for an email tune, not a remote session. I offer extended datalogging sessions for S197 guys just as an added bonus. The only time we do datalogging back and forth on an email tune normally is when there is an issue with the tune. You have no issues you have brought up to me about it.

I tried to go out of my way for you and you probably got more updates and changes than anyone who has ever bought an email tune from Lund Racing.

I'm sorry that you are dissatisfied but please stop telling people that it's has been a month since I have gotten back to you. You got your tune from us, I sent you a few revisions to try and then you switched. There is nothing left to get back to you about.

My experience with Lund Racing has been nothing short of exemplary!!! Just awesome!! John worked with me through some issues and gave me updated logs within 48 hours!! I also had tried to work with another tuner (very well known) and the service was terrible in comparison. I waited up to 3 weeks for a tune revision! Lund Racing is awesome!

If you understand what these guys actually do you may be a little more appreciative of their service. I have run both tunes now and one is clearly a better overall calibration for my taste. Lund/Ken FTMFW!

To keep bad mouthing a business on the internet is downright disrespectful after being addressed in an appropriate manor. Put yourself in their shoes and I am sure would would feel the same. Be cool man..

Oh and not to mention.. when I had my X-Charged 4.0 dyno tuned by Jon...He took the time to meet me at L&M engines, tuned my car on the dyno, fine tuned it on the street...then gave me 100 bux back because I was still a student at the time. I sure as hell will never forget that! Then, two years later I called him because I needed an inspection tune. He found my file, turned to O2s back on and it was in my e-mail that day. Thanks again Jon, and by the way my car put down some of best numbers I've seen for a non-inter-cooled X-Charged V6. Some inter-cooled guys were saying wtf?

I was expecting an answer back because I sent the datalogs on 4/27. Yeah you had waited over 2 weeks to get back to me, but I figured eventually you would even if I was testing out tunes from another company.

And for the record, yes I paid for an email tune. $200 that I won't be able to get back. Kind of sucks.

And I only sent you datalogs twice. The first time was when I first got the tune before I knew it wasn't making good power, just for you to look over. Any smart person who gets a tune should do this IMO just for the tuner to look over to make sure everything is straight bc like everyone knows, every car is different. The second time and last time I sent datalogs was after you sent me the revised "hotter" tune a week later just to be on the safe side for you to look over. Don't act like I sent datalogs tons of times and we went back and forth.

And you act like I got all these updates and changes - "probably more than anyone who has ever bought an email tune from Lund Racing"? How the hell do you figure? I got ONE update lol. I got the first tune, went to the track and saw slow trap speeds, on the 21st you said you would send a "hotter" file that day, I got dyno'd and saw low numbers, then you finally sent the "hotter" file on the 27th and that was the ONLY revision I ever received. If you're counting the 5 test tunes you sent me when I first got the tune bc the first file you sent me first was corrupted and wouldn't load on the car, that's bs lol. Those aren't revisions or updates. That was just you sending me base tunes to test until we worked our way to the full tune bc the first one wouldn't work. And all that was completed in a time frame of less than a few hours.

And you're right, I apologize. It'd be more correct for me to say it was over two weeks for a response since you're right, I did switch tuners and I can understand you not wanting to work with me anymore after that.

So timeline for people...

4/12 - Ordered tuner
4/17 - Received tuner, tried to load tune but wouldn't load on car - corrupted file
4/18 - Lund Racing sent me a total of 6 test files to try each with a different change made to work our way back to the original file which worked this time.
4/18 - Advised to Lund Racing AFRs look a little lean (11.3-11.6) and asked if he wanted datalogs. Ken advised to drive more and see if it changes and that I could do datalogs if I wanted.
4/19 - I sent datalogs of WOT in the morning. At night went to the track and then advised that the car only trapped 88.4mph.
4/20 - Ken advised he would send more aggressive tune but that he was busy and it might not be that day.
4/21 - Ken advised anything he changes has more risk but that he would send me a tune that is more aggressive later this day.
4/26 - I got dyno'd and sent dyno sheet to Ken. A whopping 378whp/361wtq.
4/27 - Ken sent me a new tune "that is a little leaner and with 1 more degree of timing".
4/27 - Sent datalogs for the new tune for him to look over.

And that's it. Since then I went to the track and ran a 12.47 @ 111.5mph on the Lund Racing tune. Good time, but slow mph. Still hadn't heard anything from Ken so I started working with Bama. Pretty simple. Got great service from Bama. Got 3 tunes. And got the times I wanted - 12.39 @ 114.7mph with the same mods in the same DA on a notoriously slower track.

I'm not being disrespectful. Just being honest. They provide good service sometimes but not all the time and not with just me, and for the money I expected more. Not to mention more power lol. But to each his own. I'm glad your experience with them has been great.

My point is there is nothing wrong with our tune and we don't include dataloggging support like you are looking for. I'm not looking to argue with you.

Like I said I'm glad you are happy with your new tune and good luck with your car.

all that and .08 ET difference? the trap difference of 3 mph could be racked up to difference in the tracks clocks, they should be consistent...but one never knows for sure.

Good experienence w/Jon before Ken was with Lund Racing.

Same good experience after Ken joined.

Both Ken and Jon have gone above and beyond on several issues I had with my Mustang, and now with an F150 (laugh if you will :)

I've always gotten prompt responses form both Jon and Ken. When I don't, I resend the email, then get a pretty prompt response. You have to realize the volume these guys see, sometimes things get lost in the mix, it happens to everyone.
