Some parts showed up today, Precision sent the wrong configuration for my intercoolers so we are sending these ones back!

Or run one like Greg has off to the side.....that thing looks more like a transmission cooler vs a radiator.

Hmmm.. so where is the maf going? Since it looks like your keeping everything seperate until the merge at the tb, little confusing the way its looking so far...

Or are you getting rid of the maf and getting a map or something?

Yup that was my guess, a map. Makes alittle more sense now. lol

Not sure I like the merge so close to the tb though, there is going to be a lot of turbulence there as the turbos push/pull off each other continously. May reek some havoc on idle and driveability tuning imho.

We did it before on another car and it worked fine, hopefully we dont have any of those issues.

Cool, just something to think about. I dont see a need to merge it so close to the throttle body, and in my mind would be easier to not merge it so close on the chance of an unforseen issue. But if yall have had success with it, then thats good.:thumb2:

A engine is a vacuum pump, turbos only push air. Why would there be turbulence. If it was a mass air car ok. A map sensor does not have that issue.

There is a quite noticable constantly changing pressure difference on a twin turbo setup where the 2 turbo's charge piping merges.
Let me think of an easy way to explain it... so basicly they fight each other and then help each other lol or "cycle" on and off creating turbulence. For a second one turbo will try to force air back towards the other, then the pressure of that turbo will overcome it and push back and then flow past the merge and "pull" or scavenge air from the other turbo, which then makes the other turbo's discharge slightly stronger for a second and then it switches and does this over and over.

You definetly dont want a maf anywhere near the merge for this reason.

This pressure flow differential swap thing-a-ma-bob lol, may make the tb a little angry being so close to it when at idle since the tb blade is just barely open and due to the way the tb blade works and the pressure changing close to it. Looks like the op hasnt seen an issue with it so he should be good to go. Was just thinking out loud and playing devils advocate since this is the first time I have seen a twin setup merge like that at the tb. Im glad its not an issue!

What's a blow off valve do when at idle? I disagree with you 100%, and worked for RET for 4yrs.

BOV is fully shut at idle on a turbo car. What does that have to do with this?

There is nothing to disagree with. I didnt say it wouldn't work I said it "may" effect the tb some.

The turbulence at the merge is a fact. Looks like its not an issue so close to the tb which is a good thing. :)
