Sure you are saying it proves something. You are talking from both sides of your mouth.

If it doesn't prove anything how can you make a recommendation based on it?

Or are you saying you are making recommendations with no proof? Which is it?

I'm recommending based on my experience. I guess it does prove something though. For the money in my case, they are better.

I am just curious what records BAMA holds on the 5.0 and GT500 platforms again...

Oh here they are... http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=81688

Oh no wait, those are Lund Racing Records, nevermind. Oh, wait but bama does sell rear window louvers.

Lund does have those records. They also didn't make shit on my car. For a full out build I'd recommend them all day long. For simple bolt ons, Bama is a better option for the money though IMO.

Or maybe you just stunk at driving that day.

My wife said she'd run you, street tire vs. street tire, Bama tune vs. Lund tune. Or we can go drag radials, its up to you.

If you lose, your car gets pink stripes.

figure MIR is a good middle ground.

If AM had anything to do with him other then sending a tune I'd never deal with AM again on principle alone.

Did AM write the script for the narration?

We have absolutely nothing to do with this. While I'm extremely happy that our customer is satisfied, Jon Lund has been a friend of mine for like 6 years now. This puts me in a really weird spot in this thread, so I've kinda just stayed out of it.

I have nothing bad to say about him, Ken or Lund Racing and never will, let alone would I purposely plant a seed like this. Think about our business volume and tell me where ONE customer sending them a free tune for ONE positive thread makes sense?

You can't go wrong with either tuner. They have the fastest 5.0L's on the planet, and there's no doubt that they know what they're doing, and so do we.

I think we're all :deadhorse: here.

^^^ Pretty much the best thing AM/BAMA has is that guy. He hooked up a good friend of mine. I may not be a huge fan of BAMA Tuning, but got tons of respect for that guy.

I would like to say that I know AM would never be behind something like this thread if I didn't make that clear earlier.

I've known Chris for a long time and Mike the head tuner as well.

And I also agree with Chris about beating a dead horse.

That is why I tried many times to just say 'glad you are happy'

But if you keep poking, I can only hold out so long. :)

Oh, wait but bama does sell rear window louvers.

Unfair jab. Just because we have different business models doesn't mean that Bama doesn't know what they're doing. AM sells thousands of "window louvers", and employs hundreds of local Mustang enthusiasts because of it.

Bama, which is strictly our custom tuning division, still has serious capabilities. We've got an in-house dyno, Ford OE datalogging and data acquisition, and millions of dollars in training, staff and software for 9 in-house employees (just for Bama) to be able to confidently send out thousands of tunes each month. So because it's tied to a brand that happens to sell styling components as part of their catalog, that makes us any less of an option?

We've still done really great things with our 2011+ Mustangs - had the fastest 2011 V6 for a long time, went 10.43 in our auto 2011 GT, and we're working on a 2012 GT with a turbo system now. Our business model isn't to build race cars and break records. Our business model is to own the cars, have fun with them, but most importantly to use them to test fitment/quality/sound/performance of the products that we sell to our customers, whether manufactured by us or third-party.

Just because window louvers aren't "cool enough" for you, me or even some of the other members here, it shouldn't say anything about Bama. If anything, Bama has exclusive access to our 165,000 square foot (soon to be expanded) warehouse of parts. So they can mix/match ANY combination on any Mustang to make sure that our tunes are dead nuts accurate at any time. Even AM sells pretty hardcore parts these days from fully mounted/balanced Racestars, Mickeys and M&H's to Turbo kits, Crate engines, Nitrous, Cams and Heads. We've really cranked up the volume on things that we carry for the performance enthusiast. Guess what, though? The guy with the window louvers loves his car just as much as you or I.

Chris

Thank you, and don't take my post above as combative. I've wanted to explain all of that for a while.

I respect your opinion of Bama and your favoritism for Lund, just like we all have to accept iceguy's vice-versa.

Thanks for the kind words, though. Much appreciated! If there's anything I can do to change your opinion of Bama, hit me up. They're great guys over there, but like any other human-operated business... we screw things up every once in a while. I wish we didn't, but it happens. I'll do whatever we gotta do to make it right. It sounds like you're more than happy with your setup now, so I don't want to offer you new tunes and offend anyone. I'd be glad to credit the money towards something else, refund you, case of beer, you name it! LOL

Agreed. I've read a lot of good posts where he's helped a lot of people out.

I think this thread has run its course.

Chris - I never thought you did, it was a jab at the blatantly over the top nature of the narration on the video. If you listened to it I think you know where I'm coming from.

It's all good with me

Chris, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you had anything to do with this. My point is that Iceguy is a nut swinging fucktard and that if a company was dumb enough to have someone get in the net and act like he is I wouldn't want anything to do with that company. I know you guys have more class then that and don't have anything bad to say about you or Lund racing.
