Have any of you guys removed the rear subframe bracing from your car? If so, how did the car ride and feel? Please describe it to me, and let me know if it's even okay to remove the bracing at all with out my car going to shit, and driving like shit.

why would you do that?

I actually added BMR subframes to mine and had to have the factory stuff custom cut and fitted back up

Well, since the whole group but thing has been going around about the BMR Anit-roll bar, I've been contemplating it. The thing is that the rear bracing hits the roll bar when installed, but regardless on if I install an anti-roll bar or not I'd like to know if I can remove it without the car driving like ass...

Also, why exactly did you add the subframes to yours?

When I put my stock rear springs back in, I drove around the block without the SFCs and top down. It handled like a wet bar of soap in the corners and made me a bit nervous. This was before the Whipple.

Gotcha! I'd still like to know if anyone has pulled the rear bracing off, and drove on it. IMO, it was put on there for a reason, but so were the little filters in the 05 inlet tubes which proved to be pointless...

Exactly what I was wanting! Thanks! Why exactly does it drive like that though? Is it the weight transfer, or geometry of the vert suspension, or something else?

Probably all of the above. That's why I took the car straght back home and put them back on. Everytime I hear a little creak from the top or suspension I wonder if it was from that day. Oh yeah, rollbars help in firming up the vert chasis as well, go grab one...

You send me the money and I'll get right to it! BTW, you wouldn't happen to have a pic with the top down pimping the rollbar would ya?

Since you asked so politely, I ventured out into the frigid 60* afternoon air...

Yeah, she's raked a little with 225/50/17s/Roush springs front and 295/45/18s/stock springs out back - that's why I got rid of the spoiler.

Okay...that's pretty much badass! I'm ordering some A47 mirrors asap! I also recently pulled my GT500 spoiler, removed my black out and am doing exactly what you did with the rear decklid, except I'm getting rid of my third brake light and trunk keyhole. I don't mind the roll bar, but it would look much nicer without the foam around it!

Thanks for the pics! You just cost me $250 bucks on some new mirrors....damn you!

The foam was required for the track. I thought about removing the 3rd BL but my car was already the correct color so I decided to live with it. lol

Just a thought, but I think it would look sick if you painted between the taillights. Matte/Flat black would look nice!

Here's one of what a real roll bar should look like! Yeah, I'm at my buddies house next to his slow ass Vette that he wishes was faster than my vert, but isn't cause I wax him every time we race! (iPhone pic baby!)

Edit: Okay, you can't see shit in this pic.....

This is what I really want, except black on the bottom like yours, brake light gone, and I'm unsure of the blackout!

This one is because of you, and I hate you for it!! But thanks for helping me with the mirrors! (A47 Website car)
