Honestly there is nothing safe about 650whp on the stock block. It will fail sooner or later, the tune will only make it last a bit longer. My setup made 638whp last time and I know I am on borrowed time. I will enjoy it while it last, but plan for a new block if this one goes.

I honestly think it's in the tune and how the car is treated. If you beat the snot out of it at every opportunity, of course it will break. If it's driven like a sane person it will be fine for a long time. Just save up in the meantime for that shortblock.

It really is in the tune. I beat the crap out of my car on a regular basis. Drive it everyday for 36 miles each way to work. Mine has been at 620whp-700whp for a year+. No issues less I have caused them. Still stock engine

There was another guy who was running 650-700whp for about 12k miles, great tune ran awesome and then the motor grenaded. When they took it apart the rods were bent and stretched.

So i am sure it will last a while, I am HOPING it will, since I am in the same boat as all of you, but to say that it will do 50k miles at that power level is just not true. It might last a year or two maybe more if you baby it, but it will fail. The rods and pistons are just too weak.

Btw, I signed up my car for a half mile airstrip event against some very nice cars. Very interested to see how it will perform vs some exotics and other crazy built cars.
