Don't kick the dirt over me quite yet!

My wife fell for the "I need to sell my '07 because this '11 is the best Mustang ever built". Something tells me she isn't falling for that load of BS again so I'm on a 10 year build plan with this one cause it looks like I'm stuck with it.

Been laid off since November so no money to mod or even enjoy it. I haven't even washed it in two months. It's nasty filthy from all the winter driving. Not to mention its quite depressing knowing all the money it will take just to run with a stock 5.0 :(

Yep, but then all it takes is a wash and drive and it all goes away, lol. Plus, I've got a list of cars I need to destroy, ZL1, z06, boosted SRT, etc. Plus, my brother's gen 5 SS that has yet to taste some Saleen boost.

I'm done unless something breaks. Maybe another one piece drive shaft. It has a GT500 ds now. Sold my dynotech when I was going to sell the car.

I've only had my car about 7-8 months so i havent lost interest yet...I usually lose interest in things after a year or so and sell them to fund a new toy haha. I think im going to hang onto my current car for a while though. I still have a ton of stuff left i would like to do.

I've done everything I want to do to it. It's my daily driver so it's just a lowered, stick shift, deep 12s muscle car with good sounding pipes. And thanks to Ford, that's pretty much how they built it.

It may not be for everyone, but I think of my car like a '59 Gibson Les Paul. Everything works just right and it looks good doing it.

I'm still gaining interest, but I'm a pretty simple dude. Only had the car two years, but I love the style of the '06. After a few more seasons of slowly modding it, I'll just enjoy it for what it is.

Deep 12s, but I thought all 5.0s could desimate any 3v?

Yep, currently in that boat now. I bought mine in April of 2011 and now I'm on the fence between continuing a slow pace of modding, or stopping entirely and eventually jumping to a 2011-2012. I love the look of them, even the odd rear end, and the interior quality is much better than what I've got in the 06'. Problem is I'm paying off student loans and still have a monthly payment on this guy, although it is only about 2K away from being paid for.

Eventually all the little squeaks, rattles, and minor annoyances get me down and I get over it. However, a little time last weekend spent on a tune up gave me a great deal of gratification. Fixed an exhaust buzz I've had since I put on my Loudmouths, car's running better, and knocked a few things off my to do list. It's been too cold and I've been too busy with school to detail so that hasn't helped either.

Not at all. Everytime I get in my car I smile. But since I have been driving a 2013 GT500 the past 5 days, I am starting to think my 5.0 is slow lol

Me. Just bought 4.10's, install kit, and a traction lock rebuild kit and as soon as I got all the parts I lost interest and sold it all. I'm looking for another car as of now, not sure what car though...

Yeah, after it blew up.

^This

and the fact that during my build it was one problem after the other. the car is running now and running good, but I'm still selling off a bunch of stuff. I think the desire got burned out by all the frustration and money spent. As much as I love Mustangs and being able to keep it smoking the tires and broadside through all 4 gears I'm thinking of moving on to something more luxury oriented.
