Im curious how many of these cars that have blown up are running the Boss manifold and turning 7500+rpm? I think if you run the stock 3.8 pulley with the stock intake manifold, keeping rpm down around 7,000 max, the motors will live alot longer. You got to think these motors are making what 250rwhp more than stock with the blowers on. Thats alot to ask of 11:1 factory motor not designed for boost.

When you mod you take chance shit going wrong. Thats from n/a to boosted. But still dont lead to why all x are living tuned by a and y are not surviving a week or two tuned by b.

Boss intake, 7600rpm, 3.6 pulley here. No issues yet at 700whp and 20k+ miles

Lets be real I know im pushing limits. Also why I started throwing 2 gallons mix of racegas in when go racing on full tilt tune. Just for safety thought. I didnt do it till got to ga. My street tune still makes 650ish and on 93. And sees a lot of abuse.

Mine was Lund tune, asked if light smoking on decel was normal and was told no this was a few weeks after my dyno tune. Did a compression test after pulling the plugs and #8 was toast.

And no way to rebuild block in car gsx but you can get away with light hone.

Bullet if you are doing a boss rotating assembly you would have to have no scoring of your block, meaning if you lost a ring or cracked a piston chances are you would want to do a light hone .001-.003
Bore on the block. If you do than the boss won't work because they are for a std 3.630-3.631 Ford coyote block. So keep that in mind

Dammit. Well ill find out. Parts are ordered.

I think I'm definately doing this. But will it hurt or does it not matter having both on? Both meaning the stock and the red?

what 3? 2nd car on here different tuner.

1 hpp, 1 lund

sounds random so far....

so wondering what kind of fuel all these cars have been on? also boost levels?

when is was on 93 only Lund said no more than stock 3.8 pulley, 9 - 9.5 psi for boost.

since going to e85, he recommended no more than the 3.6 pulley, 10 - 10.5 psi. from the sounds of it most people are running the 3.6 and even the 3.4 pulley on 93. this never sounded safe to me on 93 and is why i didnt push it until i went to e85. and as it gets hotter out for the summer i'd expect to see more 93 cars with popped motors on higher than stock boost levels

thoughts......

I think that's what killed mine. It's 100+ degrees here. On a 3.6 pulley 10 psi, 93 octane, 7500 shift points.

I've been on 3.6 from day one. Raced it all last year summer spring fall in TX. 11lbs boost day one. I was runnjng 10.3-10.5 last summer in TX.

I am tuned by Central Texas Performance.

I think something up with these recent 13's.
