Both the console and the sound deadening look awesome. I wish I would have done this when I had all my interior out.

How much do you have invested in this project and how long did it the you?

And no issues with everything fitting with the added material?

Awesome project!

Thanks! I work very closely and took me a week for everything. But it has also been raining very heavily. And my garage is small ... you can also create a lot faster. But min. 3 Days!

Everything worked great. (The gap dimensions are, :mad2:you know it better ) ...not the narrowest:highfive:

(to the cost, I can not say anything. Here in Germany, everything costs twice as much for the Mustang:mad2:)

I would love to do this. One of the things that bugs about s197s is the rattling.

Great job!

Wish I had laid down some sound deadening when I installed my new carpet...

Could you give me a little more detials on the process you went through to do the console?

Grit of paper, brand of adhesion promoter, brand of paint, brand of lacquer etc?
Thanks!

Thank you! Grind, adhesion promoter, paint (Alloy), 3x clear lacquer and wax. Done

Nice!

I've got 200 pounds of sound deadener in my '89 notch. (seriously) It's the only way to make an old tin can not sound like an old tin can.
