He added in build cost for engine, not just install labor.
93 was the only change?!

That's called getting raped. There is no way it takes 30 - 40 hours @ $100/hr to throw the top end on a fresh short block, install the new engine, and reinstall the supercharger. I've personally seen a built 4V and Procharger be installed in less than 4 hours, think it was 3 hours in all reality. Around here this job is in the $1500 - $2K range. $5K - $6500 is right on for a stout bottom end though. Depending on how "stout" you want that bottom end and if your block is still usable, you can be out the door for less than $6500 installed.
Shit. Those are some good gains. I was planning on staying tuned for 91 but now I'm not so sure...
Dude I'm sorry but and around here there is no way. To pull the engine, strip the blower n everything else off, buy the parts, rebuild n reinstall there is no way ur getting it done for that. No way.

We do it for 6800-7100 even. Pull motor, strip motor, machine block (deck plate , bore, hone, prep, finish clean) balance new crank. Rebuild long block new pistons, rods, all bolts and fastners, frpp head gaskets oil pump gears, head mod, place motor back in car and put blower back on and set up.
Well, I'm glad I don't do business with the same people that you do. If you are paying for 30 - 40+ hours of labor to install a built short block you are getting ass raped hard. I have two quotes, both for 1000rwhp capable setups taking my block with all machining cost plus the R&R of the motor and supercharger for 6800 in state and 6500 out of state. There is no way that any shop will have any car in there tying up 1 whole weeks worth of labor for a motor swap, not happening. Go to your local shop and hang out for the day and watch how long it takes to R&R a motor. You also need to remember there is very little labor involved in the supercharger R&R. All you have to do is pop the blower off, a few pipes, and connections and that's it. Same for replacement it takes less than an hour. The intercooler and custom modifications are already done. These shops have professional mechanics that do this everyday with the best tools. They can have the blower and engine out in 3 - 4 hours. If you buy a built short block for say 5K all they have to do is swap over the top end which is let's say 5 hours. Reinstall the motor and supercharger in 3 - 4 hours and done. Where is the 30 - 40 hours of $100/hr labor at? That's the only way you can come up with 3 - 4K in labor for the install. Wether they build your block or you buy a short block the cost is roughly 5K so take that out of the equation and all you have is the R&R labor and the top end swap labor. I paid $1200 in labor to have my 3V short block swapped over on a nitrous car, it in no way costs 3K more for the already installed supercharger labor. My local shop is $70/hour for labor, it would take 43 - 57 hours of labor to spend 3 - 4K in labor for the R&R, not happening. Even at $100/hour there is no way it takes 30 - 40 hours for the swap.
our price is including all labor and parts and machine work. using nothing but the best parts and all done within 2-3 weeks or so depending on the machining and the availability of the pistons and rods (custom bore sizing & CR's)
