Got my car from the body shop this last week. Here are some pix. It was parked in front of my moms house. This lady did a hit and run. My mom was out side while it happen and this other lady gave my mom a ride. So they were able to get her info and ID the lady. Crazy thing is. Her older brother is a cop here. Lol. Same cop who gave me a ticket for parking on the lawn. So I parked it on the street now. And look. His little sister crashes my car!!!!

Looks great! The GT500 front end is definitely on my wish list. Right after I upgrade my tranny, build up the motor, get some better suspension....

PacNorWest region? If so talk to Bruce H as he lives around there and will know who the good tuners are.

Drove what should be the final gas tune for my BBB (Big Bore Boss). It's pretty well nailed down. Drives as well as stock, combined (mostly city) mpg is in the 16's. At some point in the future I'll get the highway mpg tested, it should be in the low 20's.

For those of you having issues with Hot Rods and mpg I'd suggest another tuner. There will be a little bit of a drop but not as drastic as what has been reported recently in this thread.

I'm always surprised that those who don't have a good local tuner don't contact lito. He understands modular motors and how to tune them properly based on actual feedback from datalogs.

So how would one get ahold of Lito? I can send a datalog!

I live in the tri cities, Washington. Pasco to be exact. Know a good tuner that knows their stuff for my car? Trust me I'm VERY interested in getting this thing dialed in!

lito on this forum. You could also get the software and I'll help you. I've had Hot Rods and know what it takes to make them driveable without having a surging or hanging idle.

lito would be your best bet. You do need to have a wideband that you can hook into your sct for datalogging purposes. It's pretty easy. Just wire a firewire into the output from the controller and plug the firewire into your sct.

badass! how much weight did that take out? assume you had the side air bags before?

thinking of those exact seats

The EVO seats are about 30~33 lbs each without the rails and brackets.

I removed the SRS from one of the Recaro's but they weighted like couple grams so I didnt bother removing the other one.

The rails and brackets adds about 5~7 lbs. I say about because I used my digital bathroom scale.

I didnt weight the stock power seats but just by lifting them out of the car they are waaaaaay heavier for sure!

Just had my first track day with them and its like night and day with the Recaro seats, you feel so connected to the car!

So, what are the thoughts on bigger cams (hot rods or detroit rockers) with a Kenne Bell? My plan is to build a forged bottom end since my motor has over 123,000 miles, then go with a bigger Kenne Bell. I really only want around 600 rwhp, but the bigger blower should be more efficient and keep IATs down. So, will those cams work well with the blower, or would I end up needing different ones?

I was pretty sure that my friends issues with the cams were in the tune. This is the same person that called me one day because his car was running like crap, going into safe mode, and wouldn't idle without stalling. I asked him what changed, and he said nothing. I lifted the hood and said "Isn't that a different intake?" He said yeah. I asked him if he had a tune for it and he said no, it's a no tune required intake. Turns out, it was a pos AEM? from jegs. It had an insert that you take out if you have a tune, and he had taken it out to make more power, but he didn't have a tune. I told him to take that garbage back and buy a JLT or a C&L. He probably did the same type of thing with his cams.

I do hear allot of horror stories of idle issues, low vacuum, and bad gas mileage with bigger cams though, so I've shied away from them.

I would not; the tight LSA that gives the noise cams the chop are not conducive for FI applications, you want the air esp on the exhaust side to get out as quickly as possible; can it be done? Yes. Optimal? No. If you really want to do cams get those that are blower efficient.

Ordered my American Muscle Raxiom 2013 style tail lights last night at 1:30am as soon as they became available. Woke up this morning and saw where another member tried ordering them at 4pm and they were out of stock again already.

Gave mine the stink eye as I walked past it this morning. Fucking clutch isn't disengaging. I really don't want to drop that transmission again.
