During closed loop fuel is determined by stoich in the tune. Nobody is going to use a number other than the fuel stoichiometric. There would be no benefit in over richening during open loop either.

The biggest danger is that the cat protection is probably turned off. This adds fuel when the cats get too hot so they don't burn up and cause problems.

Thanks for the tech info, sir. Got the car home just fine and I'm loading up new tunes to the tuner as we speak. It's insanely quiet now without the ORH through the Bassannis.

Thanks American Muscle! Never really realized the housings on the headlights is black so I am super happy with how well it goes together...

5k HIDs coming for the high/low & fogs, LEDs for the corner lights, silver plastidip for the bages, and eibach pros are in the mail...

Changed the oil finally. Had it here two weeks ago and haven't wanted to battle the cold weather to get it done. I have to set aside a day to change my radiator hoses and flush the radiator. Never flushed it before

Hahah. That looks great. I'm using this stuff called "smartdressing" and on the rubber where the ebrate is, it made it look brand new and the rubber on the wiper cowl. Very impressed.

So this stuff dresses up the wiper cowl? I need something to make it look better.

How are you planning on doing it?

In the garage. Going off the haynes manual I guess. Doesn't seem hard at all. Only thing that wasn't too clear is the final steps on when to install the new thermostat etc..

I'm not sure what the Haynes manual procedure is and I usually use a machine for flushes, but I was curious if you were planning on flushing the block and heater core out too. When I had my engine out, I ran a ton of water through the heater core and the radiator. I also unscrewed the plugs on the block and let all the coolant out of it. I'd flush the crap out of everything, drain the system, replace the t-stat, then fill it all back up.

I have used the BG machine. It does a great job as it replaces the fluid as it comes out. IMHO its not really worth doing w/o a machine as you have all the gunk in the engine, heater core, and the maze of hoses. IMHO it would be money well spent to bring it to a grease monkey w/ the machine. If I remember right it only cost like $127 to have a oil change shop do it. To do it without the machine you will spend close to that in coolant alone.

Fuck all that noise, remove the tstat to allow an open system. Tape hose to upper radiator hose going into the motor, let the lower hose flow into a pan. Turn on hose, let run for a few minutes until clear water flows out, pull plugs to drain the block. Drain block, reinstall plugs, reattach lower hose, install new tstat, hook up upper hose and fill with coolant. drink beer.

I wish you were closer so you could do all that while I just drink beer watching you haha. That's mostly how the haynes manual shows minus block plugs. I might just pay and not deal with all that. If I take them new hoses while they flush it, would they just swap them for me?

Hmm idk about that. To hook up most machines you only have to disconnect the lower radiator hose at the radiator, connect the machine to the old hose and then add another clamp to the radiator. Its worth a try though.

The major advantage to the machine is it flushes the system under pressure and removes and replaces the coolant under the suction of the water pump.

Our machine goes on the res. no need to disconnect lower hose. I doubt they would just replace them for free. Idk why you are replacing them. Do they have any signs of wear on them?

Ever since that guy ran water through his block on another forum, whenever I hear about people flushing the block or use the phrase "hook up the hose" I just get nervous and start reading faster in hopes that they don't mean what I think they're about to say.

Had a nightmare of a day trying to install new wheels. The wheels don't sit flush on the hub, according to the installer. The lug nuts won't tighten down. They insist the holes on the wheel have been drilled off-center.

The distributer who sold the wheels to me insists there is an insert in the lug holes that allow them to fluctuate a little, and I need to just impact them hard on the car and it will adjust. They claim the holes appear off-center because they were originally 5x112 and have been adjusted to be 5x114.3.

The installer insists that no such insert exists, and that the wheels are defective. The installer seemed to know their sh*t.

I don't know who to believe or what to do at this point lol.

The proper tool makes jobs easier and safer... if the tool was useless no one would make it... $150 for a proper flush or do a half a$$ job and run the risk of doing more harm than good
