Good luck getting $30k out of ANY 2005 Mustang, regardless of how clean, well-built, and fast it is. Believe me when I say I understand how much time and money you have invested in it.

To be honest, I would sell the car and get a new 2015 with a big fat blower on it. At this point you have achieved some very lofty goals for a real street car. Anything else you do to push the envelope will result in way more money, way more broken parts, and way more time and effort.

Basically, you could keep the '05 as-is (a beautiful 9-second car) along with a 2015 in the garage, OR you could have neither and completely rebuild your car all over again to be competitive in a race class. So you tell us which you would prefer. lol

Tough decision Billy. I know where you are coming from. I made the decision to let the 05 go & get the GT500. Every now and again I think about it & I would have liked to see what the 05 had in it. I only got a couple of clean runs at the track and ran a best of 10.95. I know it had more in it. That is my only regret but I love the fact that I can jump into the new car & drive any distance without having to worry about it. Because not racecar.

Guys, after 24 yrs of marriage I think I know what it takes to make things work in that area.

I would have never thought about a '15 if it had not been mentioned to me. REALLY caught me off guard. Lets face it with the want and need for more speed and faster times, my 05 is destine to become a race car and not be very much fun on the street. That being said I do not and will not go down the same route with a 15' as I did with the 05'. As for having both, well that is not an option. I guess I will see how the 05' does this years as make a decision this fall. Fact is the 15 will never make my hands shake like the 05, and that is one of the reasons I do what I do with it.
