JDM built me a pump with Billet gears.....after reading this I'm glad they talked me into it.

Yeah I didn't because of the relative cost but it's worth not pulling the motor back out. I figure a $500 oil pump in a $2000 long block would be dumb but I won't make that mistake again. I'm going to get the TSS Gears in a new pump and put the billet backing plate on from the GT500

Apparently it's a known issue.....and you've just proved it.

Definitely! Ive also heard that they arent very durable if anything gets sucked up in the pick up tube. The Billet gears should be good though.

Not yet. Im probably going to replace the bearings either way just to be safe but Ill be able to tell you a little later tonight. I got it shut off pretty quick. Im just hoping the crank is okay.

That blows, hope the Ford gauge is more sensitive than Acuras, if the light goes on in an Acura, its a replace engine light.

Picked it up from a gear install that didn't happen, removed rear o2 sensors and started breaking bolts/nuts loose in preparation for headers, mid pipe and motor mount (and driveshaft/safety loop/UCA/UCA mount if there's time) installs this weekend.
