Yeah I know. I'm running an open downpipe so it should be noticeable especially with 20 more duration. We will see though. Im gonna give them a shot

Considering that they come with phasers and limiters bolted to the cams $400 is like paying less than $100 for the cams. It's one of the best buys I've seen in a long time. Even if they don't work you should be able to recoup any investment plus. To me it's a no brainer but I think different than others, lol.

Good deal. Looking back, i kind of wish I would have tried the 127500s retarded one tooth before I dumped them. They sounded great, but the power fell off way to early locked out straight up. Then again I picked up a lot of power and streetability going to the cams I have now

why did they fall off early? Because it was FI?

They were not meant to be locked out. Without being able to retard any at the top end, power suffered up there.

The icl was the part that really hurt them in that aspect. I would have to go back and look at the specs again. with the trickflow springs, im not able to run limiters so that was my predicament

Gotcha! Think I should use limiters on those cams I'm getting or keep the lockouts?

Most aftermarket 3v cams have an icl of around 102. These are ground with a 112 icl. Manuel hates this term but I'm going to use it anyway, it's like having 10 degrees of retard ground into them. I doubt you would gain anything with more retard. This is based on my own experience experimenting with different cam positions, cams, and airflows. It's not very scientific but it was the only thing I had to compare the different values.

I'd lock them out and sell the limiters to recoup some build money.

The turbo is going to chop up an cam sound unless you get a cam that will kill your power on a turbo car. The cams I am running right now don't have much noticeable sound with the turbo on the car, but here is a vid with just open headers and these cams. Also a pic of the cam card. I will try to get an idle vid this weekend with the new exhaust and turbo kit back on the car with these cams. Vids of the dyno runs can be seen in my build thread from page 24 on with the current cam setup.

The ones he has now were for a car spinning to 6500+ with 20+ psi and 9.0:1 CR and good street manners retaining the vct on a centri setup. That is what I asked for when I ordered them anyhow. Turns out they are good high CR turbo cams as well!

Yea you are right.... Those cams work well with his setup, the specs mark gave me are very similar duration wise with more later and higher lift. Should be good for me I hope!

New Pics! Seeing these makes me excited. Hard to stay motivated on my spending when I don't have anything that I can hold in my hand. Holding these bad boys made me smile.

Thanks buddy! There will be plenty of videos that is for sure.

I'm going by the machine shop Friday morning and hopefully I'll be able to report something back. Pistons were ready Monday afternoon and should have shipped Tuesday from Diamond. Hopefully they are at the shop on Friday so I can see them. Cams should be done by the end of the week also. I will be picking the turbo and lightened steel McLeod flywheel up next week from JPC.
