Charlie, I'm hoping that I will get the engine back sometime toward the end of next week. At that point it will be completely done.....Heads milled and a mild port and back on the built shortblock. Rev Auto will then put it in, install the new turbo, fuel system, and tuning will begin. I'm hoping I'll have it back by the 9th. I really really want to take it to OC!

The Valve Covers were purchased through Steve @ Tasca. I Saw RJ's build thread and what stock powdercoated covers could do to an engine if all of the blasting media didn't come out of them. That led me to go for a brand new set from Ford Racing. Can't trust my whole motor on 240 dollar covers.

Well not much of an update, but the RA is fully balanced. The head work was the hold up as of Friday. Everything has been at the shop since the 22nd of April. Now its on to the waiting game. I now officially as of Today have everything I need for the build.

After talking with Eric at JPC, I'm getting the feeling that my stock powerhouse kit WG(38mm Tial) will be insufficient. I'm thinking that I'll either have to add a 2nd to the lineup(don't really want to do) or buy a larger and get an adapter flange. I could also possibly have a new flange welded on.

Anyone have much experience with this.

New Arrival Parts:
Precision 7675
McLeod Lightened Steel Flywheel
HPX-E Maf

The only update that I have is that everything is at Revolution Automotive. It had never occurred to me that my IC was too small for the power that I'm hoping to make. That left me looking for a new IC.

It looked like it was either the Treadstone 25, 259, or the ebay/cxracing style(31x12x4). I ended up settling with the Treadstone 259 as a good Air/Water would cost 2x as much and heat soak under normal non iced driving. I decided to not get the cxracing one as I wanted a cfm rated above what I plan on running the car.

The 259 is rated at 1950 cfm while CX Racing told me that theirs was 800+(not sure the exact number). I know bobby ran good power with his ebay one and Josh with his CX Racing, I just wanted a little more capability.

Here she is!

The piping I had was cracked in one spot and that had to be fixed along with some other modifications including the new wastegate flange for the Precision 46mm.

I have the Powerhouse kit as well (haven't installed yet), I went over to Mak performance and he told me the same thing bout the intercooler. It's going to be installed with a 76mm billet bb precision. Looking forward to seeing ur finished product, going to be badass!

Yea I spoke with Mike @PH(I got the kit directly from them) and he told me that they recently had a guy with a 76 making mid 700's and IAT's were raising up pretty good. I'm not so sure it would be as big of a deal with E85, but I don't see how you can account for the cooling properties of it since your maf is whats going to want to cut timing if it gets too warm (I think that is how it works)

James Otto, had a power house kit too and JPC ran his car up pretty good with it in about the high 7 to 8 range and his temps were shooting up as well. I don't want to have to worry about it.

Besides this turbo is a 3" out and I didn't want to have to neck down and then back up out of the IC. Now I'll just have a full 3" coldside.

I actually bought the kit from James Otto, my job has moved me around the country a couple of times so I have not had a chance to install it. I am not going to be moved again for a while so I figured this would be a good time to start my build.

I had James' first precision 67mm turbo from his powerhouse kit before he upgraded the turbo. I built my first turbo kit with it. lol

Getting closer Jason!

My new twin setup should be going on the dyno Friday. ;)

Nope, unfortunately its not. I got some progress pics yesterday. Hopefully they are further along today. The last word I got on Sunday was by the end of the week. I doubt it will be done by then. My car has been down since March 8th and I've had everything at the shop from my end since May 31st.

Old piping vs new. Old had couplers and new is 1 piece.
