Gabe, I just bought one that looks exactly like yours. I like those rims also.

Congrats man ... that GT/CS is an awesome looking package, a local buddy has a '14 in my color, when we park together people do double-takes, lol

That looks awesome, but what did you do on the passenger side where the Cobra was, in the grille? Did you fill-in the cut-out?

He got the custom carbon fiber one it looks like that does not have the grille.

Tyler, I think you should paint it black behind that grille so you don't see the white. And while the carbon fiber look is nice... I wish they offered that emblemless Gt500 grille in the stock-like textured plastic.

That's the plan, is to paint it black. I finished at 3am and this morning realized it was visible (face palm). I'm not a fan of carbon fiber at all, just the only option with no Cobra emblem. I'm debating painting the upper and lower a gloss black (like the fog recessions/louvers/spoiler etc) or just plastidipping the upper so it's a matte ABS plastic look. Can't bring myself to cover the carbon though because by itself it really is beautiful art haha

That's why I didn't suggest it though... funny thing is after I showed my GF saw your car she started thinking about getting a white '14 5.0 but it had to have a glass roof. She wanted the GT500 bumper too and I would simply hydrodip the grille black. Carbon fiber just doesn't go too well with white except for a splitter IMO.

I wouldn't even want to rock the carbon splitter honestly...Can you hydrodip a plain color? everyone has been telling me it has to have a pattern...also that's not removable is it? one reason I'm leaning to the (forbidden) plastidip is because I can later resell the grille as CF if needed...

Also - tell her do it!! Get my twin from the dealer in PA!! it's a 200+ day unit and they'll sell it but they want to keep holdback haha

I thought you could hydrodip a plain color, but maybe Im wrong. It's not removable. I wouldn't use plastidip on that though... the matte finish would just look off.

I think we've settled on keeping her 3V. I love that car, the body style and she loves it too. It's already a glass roof car and we are going to throw boost at it by the end of this year, and then build it later along with other goodies. We looked at a ton of different cars and nothing got her to pull the trigger completely.

Datalogged some IAT's just cause I was curious. Heatsoaked it hit 160° max after sitting in walmarts parking lot for an hour in 92° weather with the engine off after driving down the highway. Max driving down the highway after pulling in 3rd a couple times was 138° after I let off. 128° under boost. Good? Bad? Idk

hydro dipping is not removable. id just plastidip it if your wanting to cover the CF. you could also plastidip it then paint it. you could still peel it off one day it would just come off a lot harder.

Thanks Doug, only Mustang enthusiast understand the connection we have with our cars. My gf thinks I'm being sensitive lol.
