The only logical explanation I can think of is that there's a problem with the engine and he'd rather sell it and start over than fix the problem. Makes no sense otherwise to sell off a $15K built engine and start over with a stock GT500 engine. Regardless, if I were shopping for an engine I would avoid this one like the plague based on the seller's actions.

Or he is trying to make more power on less boost. I had a 3v that was almost ready to go, but sold for a coyote platform because of the large flow advantage over the 3v heads.

Does your bench have forced induction? Lol.

No it does not, but why do people build 4v motors over 3v? Lol..

I guess im a dumbass and cant see results. Plenty of 5.4 4v motors in the 7's, how many 3v's are there? Lol

But he has the stage 3 Livernois heads, same as the stage 3 FRPP heads I had on my Bullitt built motor. Expensive but damn, they flow great! I made 643/619 to the wheels on 14 lbs boost with a TVS1900 blower. We hit 699 on 100 octane race gas.

Either way the motor he has now is more than capable of 1300 hp, what the fuck else do you need?

Are you reading more into this than there is? I can't speak for "people". If you want to go for racing results we all know the fastest mod motor car displaces 281 cubic inches and has 2v heads.

4v heads.

Now, the reason for that is to turn more rpm and keep piston speeds at a reasonable level.

That's what a shorter stroke does.

I think that going to a 5.4 GT500 motor would be a step backwards from what he has now. You don't. I'm ok with your opinion, you aren't ok with someone disagreeing. Am I seeing this wrong? Is there more to it?

Ahhhh... I hate getting in these kinds of conversations on the internet. Please let me know who has a kit to bolt up a 4.2 or 4.7 liter Kenne Bell to my 3V and I will buy it. Like right now, I have the funds just sitting, seriously let me know. There is nothing wrong with the motor, I built it to put a twin turbo kit on as the Kenne Bell on my other built motor maxxed out the 2.6H and swapping to a 2.8H for another 150rwhp wasn't worth the $8k for the kit. Now that Kenne Bell has large displacement superchargers that can get me to the hp I want, I want another twinscrew. Well guess what, they don't make a kit for a 3V past the 2.8H. So I have to go to an 03-04 Cobra motor for a 3.6L or a GT500 for 4.2L or 4.7L.

I have a car built to go drag racing and I am looking to maximize the hp to go as fast as I can. I am tired of messing with the twin turbo kit, if you knew the problems and money I have spent to get where I am on the kit you wouldn't question going to a simpler setup. If I were to continue with the twin turbo kit then I will have to buy a lot of parts that I have already purchased once for it as they were lost between two shops that the car was at.

Plenty of guys know me on here and I am not a shady person. I have no reason to be. Like I told the people PM'ing me. I DO NOT need to sell it, I can throw it in the shed if I want, me moving forward with the built GT500 motor does not depend on me selling this one.

The new DOB manifold designed for the 3V engs, will mate with any blower made for the GT-500's. Gmitch should be able to chime in on this, since he builds em.

Nope it expects Whipple's. I do not want a Whipple. I have looked heavily into the DOB kit and have been waiting for the R-intake to come out as I thought any GT500 supercharger would bolt up also. Now that it is out and it will only fit the larger Whipple's with a custom snout I made my mind up to look at other options.

So put 4v heads on it and run a 03 Cobra blower kit. I reread your build thread. Lots of bad stuff happening to you in that.

That was my original plan after talking to Jim at KB but that limits me to a 3.6L supercharger. I am also not sure if the pistons will accept a 4V head with cams due to them being machined with 3V valve reliefs. I am not going to tear motor down to check as that will ruin the job Mike did on it. I know it is fine as it sits as it was built by someone that I trust. If no one wants it then it will be pickled and stored until I get something to put it in.

Give CPRsm a chunk of your budget and you will have a nice single kit getting you to your HP goal.
