The progress has hit the point where everything is going to start going really fast. Gonna be hard to keep up with the progress. Yesterday they had the garage doors up, driveway forms passed inspection, trim / doors started going in tomorrow. More trim, paint and pouring the driveway should be happening today.

Looking good. Big fan of how open the layout is!

The open floor plan and 3 car garage (and of course sizing) was why we chose this model. I love how if you're standing at the kitchen sink you can see almost everything. You have a straight shot to the living room, family room, 2nd bedroom, and the master bedroom.

Moving right along. How long until closing?

Probably around 30 days. I've got almost until the end of April in my current house so I should be fine.

Just got back from the house today. Found out tile was going in when I walked in and almost stepped on wet tile. Here's some pictures from yesterday!

So close!

Side note: what are you using to take the pictures? I'm liking the wide perspective.

Nikon D90 with a SB700 flash and a cheap Sigma 10-20mm wide angle lense. It's impossible to take good interior shots with a standard lens, you can't get the perspective of the room size at all.

Color me jelly. The place looks fantastic!

Thanks man!

Thanks! I'll have to pick up one of those lenses for the wife's D3200. Like you said, the camera on my phone just isn't cutting it.

Definitely, the majority of exterior pictures I've posted are even with that lense. Helps to get rid of all of the street in the pictures.

So, the exterior was painted on Friday. Stone went up on Saturday morning. Electrical started getting finished up over the weekend. They started on the light fixtures, got all the fans up, it's probably all done. I didn't go by Sunday.

Paint & Stone.

Master Bedroom. Need to move the pendants up a little bit more and move the one on the right slightly. They are set to go above our end tables.

Forgot to mention we need to adjust the placement of the kitchen pendants. They are a little off. Need to order some cabinet pulls soon. The builder didn't have a good selection and they were overpriced of course. Also bought a Moen Motion Sense kitchen faucet.

Coming right along. I like the cabinet/countertop palette!

Appreciate that! We went with upgraded cabinets and got granite in the bathrooms (kitchen is standard).

Nice! How big is your lot? A decent backyard? Do you have the walls going up or is it going to be an open backyard?

It's crazy how much they mark that stuff up sometimes. The only things we had the builder put in were the door hardware, towel hooks and loops, and TP holders. Everything else (mirrors, lights, faucets, shower fixtures) was marked up so much that we had them install the standard and bought our own.

Well worth it. Not only does it keep the flow of your house, it will be better for resale (if you ever go that route).

I'm going to be adding a tile backsplash in the kitchen soon as we close. Gonna end up actually ripping up some tile, etc and having one of our guys go finish it up lol. We had them tile the wet areas in the tile we wanted but always planned to tile everything but the bedrooms. We buy our materials from the same place and the cost is about 300% cheaper for me to do it lol. I didn't feel like ripping everything up though and creating a huge mess in a brand new house so that's why we upgraded the tile in the wet areas to begin with. Here's a close up of the granite. Hoping my superintendent remembered to tell the granite guys to just barely put up the backsplash.

It's a 10,000 sq ft lot. Not huge but kind of "typical" of this area / neighborhood type. I've got the plot plan right next to me about to go talk to someone about the PVC fence.

I really like the master bath tile colors.

Appreciate it. We are thinking about adding the same accent tile to the tub when our guy goes in the house to finish up the rest of the tile.

I was really surprised with our builder. A lot of the stuff was really reasonable. Only a few things did we have to do afterwards. All of the faucets, etc were on point. They were a few dollars less than retail and then you figure in the work. Only reason why I bought the kitchen faucet was because I wanted the MotionSense faucet. Electrical wasn't a problem for us luckily because that would of definitely hurt with what we did. A few things we shook our head at just because it didn't make any sense but like I said, I was surprised. I'm happy with what I've had to spend on it.

I really like the open concept. Looks great!

Thanks!

I'm interested in seeing the shower enclosure. I'm going to be ripping out my tub in my master bath and putting in a shower, I like the half wall thing you have going on there.
