Does anybody know of the smallest diameter wheel that will clear a 6 piston brembo? I was wanting a small enough wheel that was narrow but could fit a low profile tire so that it could be installed in the spare wheel compartment and not stick up.

I know ford doesn't make one. I mean an aftermarket wheel.

Will a 19" wheel fit in the compartment with low profile tires available? 19" options are already bad enough. Hoping on a cheap 18"

Very few 18" wheels. Best one I can think of that is a less expensive wheel is an Enkei PF01, but it needs a spacer.

You can fit up to a 27" tire in the well regardless of rim diameter. But not sure you will find a rim that narrow with the correct backspacing to clear the breaks.

I always thought the spare was shorter than 27". That's good to know.

If you want to spend the money, you can get a Weld RT-S in a 17x5 that will fit the with the big brakes. With a 26 front runner tire on it, I think it would fit in the well.

Never would a thought a 17" wheel would ever clear the 6 piston brembo setup

That's what I predicted. I did some more searching on other forums and it appears ppl have been using a wheel from a Hyundai Genesis coupe with a brembo option. Vague on details. I think they had to redrill the wheel

The Hyundai would have the same 5 on 114.3 pattern, but the hub hole is small at 67.0 mm compared to 70.6 for a Mustang ... so the centre hole would have to be opened up a bit as the first mod to make it work.

cheers

I missed the 6 piston part and just saw the Brembo's. Like Cam said the 6 piston Brembo brakes require an 18 inch wheel. But you couold still do the same with an 18x5 wheel and a 26 inch tire.
