OK, I know this is VERY non-technical, but I'm trying to think this through logically. I'm an IT guy. We put hours of thought into saving minutes of work.
I just picked up a brand new (NOS) Saleen Shaker NA scoop for my 3V and got it installed. I know it doesn't do really anything for performance but I love the old school vibe. In the interest of form vs function, would using the stock airbox (which is sealed) and connecting the shaker via an intake tube be more efficient than trying to route air from the shaker to my open C&L CAI?
I know, I'm probably putting way to much though into this, but I'm partially convinced that if the stock intake doesn't flow air much less air than an 83mm CAI, and if it's sealed, allowing it to draw air through the shaker be a benefit. I was thinking the 2010 intake tube is a bit more "custom" looking for the stock airbox setup too.
Feel free to share ideas or flame!
Here's the setup with the shaker and the C&L CAI. I think it does look cool as is, but just thinking of the best way to utilize the shaker.
