Lol yup, and that's another reason I don't want to run the 555 G2's on the course again.
It's supposed to be about 85 degrees and dry, that's gonna chew them up.
I kinda can't afford that.

Let us know how the drag radials worked out. the side walls are designed for straight line abuse even though they are DOT approved.

I went out for a little beat run with the car after I put them on, I could see the parts of the tire that touched the asphalt, the tire didn't seem to have rolled over at all.
Can actually see how close to the sidewall the running area was:
(the darker area VS the color of the sidewall)

Thanks. Hope I don't have any issues, and I'm still thinking about maybe switching the fronts to the 285/40/10 Goodyear Eagle F1's that were once on the fiancee's Shelby's rear wheels (new tires in 2013 put on by the dealer before she bought the car).
They're on the same wheels as these 305's, and they're about the same exact width, but they fit more square than the DR's

Did your crossover line come unhooked? If the right side of the tank is still full it will read a half tank on the gauge.

Well considering how much it took to fill it up I'd say no, both sides were empty. I had poured a couple gallons in from a can then drove to the store and pumped 14 more in so...since total capacity is like 16.6 iirc I'd say it was empty. Me thinks a sending unit is bad.

Installed the Beefcake torque booster setup, JPC PCV breathers, and swapped out all the worm gear clamps for t-bolt clamps. Just waiting on a tune from Lund now. I also learned today that I no longer have the patience to work on a centri car.

Haha I'll probably start feeling the same. To change belts and pulleys the whole unit has to come off! Those bolts behind the bracketry is a bitch.

I had my driver side air bag inflator changed out at the Ford dealer this morning. A funny thing happened and I can't quite figure it out. The last thing motor wise I have done is a Lito tune. The car runs great............kinda. Two things, when cruising and let off the throttle it is like the cruise is on, it doesn't seem to slow a lot and second when coming to a stop it hunts for idle. The idle may go up to 1,200 and down to 700 a couple times before it settles at the 780 that Lito set it at. I have done a relearn sequence and everything, A/C on idle 5 min, etc. I am figuring it just must have a vacuum leak.

The tech unhooks the battery and changes the inflator (I was standing next to him the whole time talking). He hooks the battery back up and says everything is fine all clear. From the time I started it after he was done it idles perfect now. No more searching, I did no relearn at all just drove home. I am certainly happy, but scratching my head at the same time.

Autocrossed it.
85 degrees outside, overheated some things in the afternoon runs.
9th run of the day, at one point in the second half of the 86-second run the brakes had a nice wooden feel, the clutch pedal got really light, and when I finished and parked it, the right rear brake was smoking.
Not bellowing smoke, but clearly visible something was smoking.
Also, my supercharger belt is apparently done.
It's leaving residue onto the new idler pulley I just recently installed.
So I skipped the last run of the day and parked it.
Gonna be flushing out the 4-year-old brake fluid, gonna change out the blower belt and clean the pulleys as best as I can.
The good news is that the 305/40/18 Nitto 555R's did great as front tires.
Started with 30psi in them, after 5 runs they were up to 36psi.
Was quite aggressive at times and they never rolled onto their sidewalls, just stayed right onto the tread.

Any recommendations for brake fluid to use?
I have DOT4 Amsoil already, I think it would be a huge improvement over the 4-year-old factory DOT 3 stuff.

Motul RBF600, it just doesn't get any better than that stuff. Used to run it in Ducatis on the track. Just google it and read what others say, it's the best.

Just looked up that fluid, it lists dry boiling point of 594 and wet of 421.
The Amsoil DOT4 fluid is 580 and 379.
I'm thinking I really don't wanna throw away the 2-3 bottles of the Amsoil that I have sitting on the shelf, I may just use up that fluid for now, it should be a huge improvement over the factory fill DOT3 fluid, no?

That Amisol will be fine to use. I use the Stoptech DOT4, but will be stepping up to the Motul when my stock runs out.

Congrats it sounds like you had a good time. DRs working good is good info. Good idea to change the brake fluid and you can see what lining you have left. Do you have a separate clutch reservoir? Is that the only time the belt left a mark?

Thanks Rocky, we did.
The GoPro camera takes some nice videos but the sound leaves a lot to be desired.
The first videos I made with it , a couple years ago, didn't have the wind noise issues I'm having now, not sure what changed, but it's driving me crazy.
Putting the sound aside, the video itself is still pretty cool.
This was my quickest actual run of the day, an 85.96-second run, but I got hit with a 2-sec penalty for taking out 1 cone, so it became 87.96
