I admit I don't know much about LL, but am looking to get some for the DR's I will soon get. My questions are:
Will this effect my ABS?
What is a good kit and where can I find one? (Looking at the SLP one?)
When I disengage the Line Locks will I roll out like with a 2 step?

This is a DD also...

No, it will not affect your ABS. You will hear stories of single solenoid systems being possible concern for your ABS. Those usually come from people selling dual solenoid systems. Not saying that it isn't possible. Hell, anything is possible. But I have yet to actually hear of an issue with a single solenoid system causing a problem.

I run the SLP system and have absolutely nothing but praise for it. There are people who buy just the hoses from vendors (i.e. PMP a SV here sells the hose kits) and then buy the solenoids from Summit or Jegs and make their own kits.

When you disengage the line locks, if you have something that is going to cause forward momentium, then yes, you are going to roll. Not exactly sure of your question. I wasn't aware that a 2 step caused roll out.

if you keep your foot in the throttle, yes, once the brakes are released the car will move forward.

no issue there

Hmm...thought a 2 step was with the roll out like in higher hp cars...nevermind though. What gear(s) do ya'll recommend using the LL in? I've heard of people just using 1st gear and I've heard of people starting off in 2nd gear...

2nd gear burnout from the get go, look for 50-55 MPH on the speedo for 4-5 seconds to get them nice and smokey!

Yep, like some others said, PMP has a very nice line lock kit that doesn't effect the abs. You can get the solenoids from Jegs. Not sure how soon you are doing it, but I will probably install mine tonight if you want me to do a write up for it, I would be able to post it up tomorrow.:thumb:

I'm getting 4.10s in the next few weeks and the DR's will be Nitto 305/40/18

I run 4.10s and 305/45/18s. Do my burnout in 2nd and take it up to 55 or so.

Thanks man, but if it comes with a good set of instructions I'll just go by that and save you the trouble.
Off Topic: Did you ever get the engine/tranny out?

Cool, looks like I won't get to do mine till tomorrow now anyways. Yeah, trans is out and i'm picking up the 6060 tomorrow, so hopefully we'll get that in tomorrow night and get the rear suspension done along with line locks.

Here's a minority vote for the GMS line locks. No work in the wheel well is required, everything mounts under the hood near the ABS module. The other kits are easy to install, but this was extra easy. GMS may suck as company, but these line locks are great. Just my two cents.
