I don't have my rotors yet but got to working on my S550 brake swap yesterday...this may not work as well as I'd hoped. I bolted the caliper on (with the original rotor still in place) and put the wheel on...not even close to clearing. Unless the 14" rotors have a thicker hub section I'm either looking at spacers, or selling these and just buying brembos (honestly it's been nagging at me since I bought these things that I should have just bought some reman brembos instead)

The 14" hubs aren't any thicker.

Just ordered 2 new Continental ExtremeContact DW 285/40/18 tires for $141 each, $318/pair including shipping from Tire Rack.
Tires were apparently on a closeout, only a few left, and since my rear tires are completely bald, I needed 2 tires to pass inspection in May.

I'm jealous. I love DWs and I want a set of 285/40/18s. Unfortunately, I have an MT82 to pay for, so no tires for me.

It's gonna be my first experience with the DW's ..... I had a set of DWS's and liked them a lot, but when the blower went on I was slip-sliding everywhere, needed a better tire, especially in the rear.
So the plan is to discard the bald rear 555R's, move the 285/40/18 Eagle F1's from the front to the rear, and put the Contis on the front, where they'll stay.
The Goodyears will get used until I can afford a new set of DR's for back there, but they're getting dry-rot cracks so I don't really wanna have them for much longer either.

MGW Race Spec on order for the MT-82 swap and I'll be ordering a new clutch disc shortly. Just waiting for a call from Racing Integration and I'll be ready to start the swap.

Adjusted my sway settings until I was happy. Installed new cowl panels, wiper arms, and blades. The replacement arms use the 10-14 PinchTab connector so my old wipers wouldn't work.

Installed my VMP 93 tune. Having never done anything like this, I have to admit, I was a little nervous about fuckin somethin up. 15 minutes and I was done. Not a drastic improvement but it is what I was expecting. Can't hammer first like I used to coz it just blows the tires off. Throttle response is peppier. Start up, I don't get the high rpm that gradually settles to idle any more. Speedometer is spot on now. Mostly, I'm glad to have the SCT for future mods like tire size changes, headers, gears etc.

Finally received my rear wheels/tires as well as a rear sway bar. Finally going to get rid of these stock wheels and the notorious clunk from the rear. Oh how nice it will be....

I run the Billet Circle-D converter and have had it since back in 2010 Bullitt Mustang was converted from the 5-Speed manual to the TCI SSF.

The Circle-D is a great converter IMO.

Wait until you have some windshield time with that tune. A week or two from now you'll have a better idea of just how much stronger it is.

Next step is better tires for traction!

Yep it is. Can't wait till Bradenton to get on the track and see how it does versus the couple of 1/4 dyno pulls I have done.
