I have a JLT series 2 intake running with a custom tune. The old person I got the car from no longer had the tuner. On this Bama tuner, they list 3 different jlt intakes( serie 3, jlt 110, jlt ca). Can I use one of these with the series 2 intake

I believe the series 2 is the jlt 110
Thanks man. Also have one other question, so I'm running kooks headers and the only option is BBK listed under headers, would it Make a difference to use BBK if I have kooks ?

are you making changes to the car?

if you're getting a new handheld - consider getting a different tuning option IMO

I would get a custom tune for sure, but most of the aftermarket headers are all 1 5/8 inch

For an n/a motor an email tune would be fine

Only thing I've changed is the headers to kooks 1 5/8 headers and I've been running the stock tune with the series 2 jlt intake from the previous owner for a while now with no problems. So I should run the 3rd one then since it's not a series 3 and not 110mm ?

The tune from the previous owner for the JLT series 2 intake*

Call and ask BAMA. Who would know better? There is no mortal sin in calling the person who would have the official answer to your dilemma.

Found out series 2 is 89mm just like Thailand stated. Jlt support said use the 3rd tune "jlt Cai" and you'll be good to go.

Idk if anyone has suffered this before but when I loaded a new tune from my X4 tuner, my car wouldn't start. It cranks but wouldn't actually start. I had to return the car to stock (which was the original tune with the series 2 jlt intake ) and it worked again. Any advice on why it wouldn't start on the new tune ?

Either you did not get a proper load, or there is an issue with the tune. Try again and if it fails contact the tuner.

I've always noticed that when I load a new tune, the car cranks for a fill 3-5 seconds before it starts. Only the first time though. After that first time, it starts normally.

Mine failed once too, but worked when I re-loaded the tune. Did you follow the load steps, or do something wrong/different? These HH tuners can be very temper-mental. Try reloading...good luck.

Yep, that way for me every time.

I actually bricked an ECM once also on a 2010 GT. Loaded the stock tune and the car wouldn’t even crank. Tried to put the custom tune back in, and it wouldn’t take.

Had to have the car towed to the dealer. They said the ECM was blank. Had to reprogram it with the help of Ford.
